This helps but the Problem was another, the BIOS Time freeze, changing the cr2032 solved the problem, using an energizer ultimate

Hi Brother, I've Dell Inspiron 3543 i5 5th Gen Model, Recently everytime i switch on sometimes lap gets on and some time only 5 beep sound comes. Now last 1 week lap completely doesn't gets ON, only I hear 5 BEEP Sound. So here CMOS Battery could be issue or Motherboard? Since service people said need to replace battery. Please Help brother!

continuously 5 beeps of Dell Inspiron 14z 5423 laptop is fully solved with change 3V CR2032 lithium battery. endless problems, of course we do not buy DELL again.

Make sure how many beeps are in your laptop see below :-1 beep BIOS ROM corruption or failure 2 beeps Memory (RAM) not detected 3 beeps Motherboard failure 4 beeps Memory (RAM) failure 5 beeps CMOS Battery failure 6 beeps Video card failure 7 beeps Bad processor (CPU)

Can you please tell me the volts of the CMOS battery

Do you mean all keys are not working or some of them?

5 beeps typically means there is a problem with the CMOS battery itself. Remove the battery (not the CMOS) and the AC Adapter and press and hold the power button for 25-30 seconds, then after that plug the computer back in and try to power it up. This might work, but if not try a different CMOS battery instead.

Does this work with a Windows 10 Dell?

Make sure your battery is working, change the cmos battery, and restart your computer.
