I am 65 years old now, have been in the building trades most of my life. I love watching Leah's videos, even if it's about the most elementary stuff, because, as I have said before, she has the heart of a teacher. That's not to say I haven't learned from her. Sometimes the lesson is: how to teach. Leah, you rock!

Thanks for putting out a video on this topic! I'm a first-timer in the drywall world finishing my basement. I watched a ton of videos about how to finish the drywall initially, but I made a few mistakes in that process and ended up with walls that didn't look good. It's so useful to have this video as a reference for how to fix my mistakes!

Thank you. I watch a lot of tube because as a single mom and very little money. I have had to do a lot of home repairs myself. Plus I enjoy doing the work right without my house becoming trashed as someone else does the job wrong and charging me a huge bill. Then I have to clean up the mess and do the same job over. I have had this happen many times. A few , very few guys that have worked for me , have taken the time to do the job right and not trash my house. I like the steps and the great way you are able to show your work in detail. Thank you keep up the good work, and God Bless.

I would have just cut a piece of dry wall to roughly the shape I needed then PVA glue that in then its only needs a skim of plaster to make perfect also this way means that the drywall is like the mistake was never made.

I was watching a few of your older videos the other day and your video quality (picture, sound, shots) is vastly better than it used to be. Novice Home Owner & New to doing wall work. Had a Bath Room next to the Kitchen Dining Wall. renovated Bath Room and had new shower update installed in wall & new shower & wall enclosure - new frosted window to outside over tub. I prepper walls and installed electrical exhaust & new GFCI. Purchased new toilet appliances, etc... Well, first shower and realized Plumber did not secure shower fixture inside wall ! Amazing. I learned " Dry Wall Repair " . I couldn't tear out the new shower wall ; shower handle could be pulled out maybe four inches ; so, I had to go to the Dining Area Wall and open up a square to mount interior Shower Fixture to Studs. Secured with same removed " Patch " , etc.... Many thin coats. Yes, " You can do this ". Good reminder that one can wet joint error - tape - and remove. Learned the " Hard Way " the first time. This was back in the late 1990's. Thanks Again.
