I am 65 years old now, have been in the building trades most of my life. I love watching Leah's videos, even if it's about the most elementary stuff, because, as I have said before, she has the heart of a teacher. That's not to say I haven't learned from her. Sometimes the lesson is: how to teach. Leah, you rock!
Someone get this woman her own tv show! Good grief she is helpful and fun to watch!

TOTALLY a born educator! The WAY she gives us the information is actually getting embed into my memory and I'm learning soo much!
Thanks for putting out a video on this topic! I'm a first-timer in the drywall world finishing my basement. I watched a ton of videos about how to finish the drywall initially, but I made a few mistakes in that process and ended up with walls that didn't look good. It's so useful to have this video as a reference for how to fix my mistakes!
Thank you. I watch a lot of tube because as a single mom and very little money. I have had to do a lot of home repairs myself. Plus I enjoy doing the work right without my house becoming trashed as someone else does the job wrong and charging me a huge bill. Then I have to clean up the mess and do the same job over. I have had this happen many times. A few , very few guys that have worked for me , have taken the time to do the job right and not trash my house. I like the steps and the great way you are able to show your work in detail. Thank you keep up the good work, and God Bless.

I paid a guy to tape my drywall and he sanded it down to the tape and called it done. All of the seams cracked. Love your vids.
I was really impressed with how you covered up the second hole near the pipe. The way you removed the old tape also impressed me and putting up the new tape and covering it up. I thank you for showing us how to fix drywall.

I would have just cut a piece of dry wall to roughly the shape I needed then PVA glue that in then its only needs a skim of plaster to make perfect also this way means that the drywall is like the mistake was never made.

Leah, I have watched some of your videos in the past. I definitely enjoy doing things around the house myself, if I manage a day off from my 3 jobs. I have always been fascinated with craftsman type work. Most of what I learned outside of my Career as a Fire/Medic and Rescue tech is Automotive Tech. Your Videos have helped me learn and grow confidence in my abilities. Thank you! You are a Great teacher!

Great idea. I tried using the cardboard and string trick last night on two holes and it worked like a champ! Gotta remember this one as well.
Perfect! Just what I need... pretty much butchered the drywall in areas in my basement suite being built...all a learning exp :)

I really enjoy learning from your videos. I appreciate your attention to detail and focus on doing things correctly. I am happy to see your channel growing. I was watching a few of your older videos the other day and your video quality (picture, sound, shots) is vastly better than it used to be. I have one piece of constructive criticism for you (coming from a place of love). Your logo is confusing, it just clicked for me that it's an eye with eyelashes after a year of watching your videos. That's the only thing bad I can say about your channel, you're amazing. Thanks Leah.
Thank you Leah, this video really helped me figure out a problem. I have a pipe coming through my wall in my pantry and it is connected to the hot water heater. There is a hole just like the one in your video and I had no idea how to fix it other than shoving some steel wool in the hole. A very big help!

Great video! First go at it and I have lots of mistakes to clean up. Thank you!
In my attic i came across a issue a huge wide pipe that sits inside in between the bedroom & bathroom wall that leads outside my roof.I always noticed the bedroom wall& ceiling has always been patched poorly the main problem was never fixed when it would rain water would seep down this pipe the pipe looked like to me is tilted i do not know if that is how the pipe was set when my house was built the tilted pipe connections was built or the tilted pipe was caused from the grounds shifting because i do battle issues with my Windows dropping as well from post military ammo practices & our local international gas & oil industry i do live a few blocks from that does fracking as well my home was built in 1948 my parent's bought this home back in the early 50s & 60s era now am faced with dealing with old poorly done drywall damages even my drywall ceilings cracking & falling through. Plus am living on a fixed budget am very appreciative for these videos. I love to work with drywall & other various carpentry tasking.
This was such a well articulated tutorial video. Great job! If I had to learn any thing it would be taught in this manner. Excellent, excellent work!

Thanks Leah! New sub here; I hired some guys to hang my sheetrock and tape and mud. They did an "OK" job after 2 coats of mud but now their gone and I gotta sand and paint. This video showed me a few tips I was unaware of like needing a 3rd and possibly 4th skim coat of mud.
I found (the link to) this tutorial just when I started wondering how to tackle the bumps and hollows in my not quite dream home's walls... your demonstrations and explanations are very illuminating.

Welcome to the summer of my discontent. These videos are lifesavers! Subbed! I decided to totally redo my dogs' room. I've got drywall that must have been put in by drunks. No staggered joints, tape bubbling, rough mud, nails instead of screws, no tape in a corner, and no metal bead on a corner. Also, big nails in the baseboard.....

Leah, I'm dying! I've never hated anything so much as drywall, paper tape, and joint compound. I'm a rookie; this is my first time doing this. When I screw up, I stop, clean up, sit down, and watch your videos. They help calm my nerves, educate me more, and help me to realize that 1. I'm not a pro, so don't be so hard on myself, and 2. With Leah's help, I can fix the screwups. Thank you so much!

Novice Home Owner & New to doing wall work. Had a Bath Room next to the Kitchen Dining Wall. renovated Bath Room and had new shower update installed in wall & new shower & wall enclosure - new frosted window to outside over tub. I prepper walls and installed electrical exhaust & new GFCI. Purchased new toilet appliances, etc... Well, first shower and realized Plumber did not secure shower fixture inside wall ! Amazing. I learned " Dry Wall Repair " . I couldn't tear out the new shower wall ; shower handle could be pulled out maybe four inches ; so, I had to go to the Dining Area Wall and open up a square to mount interior Shower Fixture to Studs. Secured with same removed " Patch " , etc.... Many thin coats. Yes, " You can do this ". Good reminder that one can wet joint error - tape - and remove. Learned the " Hard Way " the first time. This was back in the late 1990's. Thanks Again.
My husband hates doing this,so it's left up to me. Thank you so much, this will come in handy to make me look smart again.😀
I feel like this is stuff that I should have learned growing up. Thanks so much, Leah, you're awesome.
