What steps need to be followed when using this caulk to paint using interior flat paints?
I thought about it because the expansion and contraction capabilities of caulking, and found this video that confirms it works… thanks a lot!!! By the way, an excellent paintable caulk I really like is Bostik Duo-Sil, sold at Sherwin Williams…

What caulk do you use? Will Alex flex premium molding and trim sealant work?

No, you need to fill that crack with an epoxy sealant.

@@streetcarp475 go to home depot and all the way in the back next to all the concrete there will be a shelf with tubes. What you want is Quickrete Epoxy Concrete Repair. It will be a red and orange tube. They are expensive ($25) but IT WORKS! Just keep in mind that each tube has 2 parts so only have a tube is all the material you will get from each. I would purchase at least 2 to be safe. Also, WEAR GLOVES!!!!! 😁

@@stringerfilms. you are the best! Thank you so much ! I'm going this morning! I so appreciate your help!
Excellent video it's ironic some idiots make it hard by first scraping off the cracks then putting mesh tape then compound joint and then prime/paint. While caulking does all the work and when it's dry within 24 hours just paint it and you're all set.

It’s because those idiots don’t want to redo it every year like you’ll have to with caulk. Do it right do it once
QUESTION: It’s been a few years how did this method hold out for you?
