IPC HFW5231ep-Z12E is mounted outside of my house. Its a weather sealed camera and I have been having issues since the temperature here in the Northeast started to fall after the summer. There is condensation someplace behind the outer lens cover after a cold evening. I was hoping that the sun would burn off the moisture.
Here is what happens: moisture condenses in the camera during the evening and fogs the lens. At 7am when the camera switches to daytime mode, there is so much condensation on the lens that it cannot focus on the area its supposed to. It never corrects itself, even after the condensation evaporates.
I could not have even thought of taking the camera apart without seeing a video by Andrei Bogdan- so make sure to search for his video if you are having this issue. Althogh the camera is different than mine, his video allowed me to take mine apart.
