My problem is a little different. I have the blank white shortcut icon appearing on top of the shortcut's icon. The steps here did not remove the blank white icons covering the shortcuts. Any ideas on what's happening, and how to fix it? BTW, when I highlight the icon, do a right-click and select Properties to change the icon, I get a warning that I must be an administrator to do this, even if my user is in the admin group.
