Good and valuable information! Would this work with other kinds of big box store garden/top soil which is mostly ground up wood etc…? Is there another way to make the bacillus?

It would work with other soils. Lactobacillius can be cultured with any milk-based or starchy ingredient.

you could add a lb of urea per 50 lb bag and moisten and cover. It will compost down into actual humus then and really fast.

It would, and I think I have some. I've just been trying not to use it much.

You forgot to mix all of them up . The bottom bad manure will not have all the nutrient you added at the top.

All the pasteurizing of the cow manure can never get rid of the persistent herbicides used on the hay and feed for the cattle that produced the manure. I had an extremely bad experience with a product like this 3 years ago. I will never buy bagged manure again

The only thing that breaks down those chemicals is biological action. It takes fungus and bacteria to do the job. I do prefer using our own manures.
