I got the code with no symptoms been. Bought the car not long ago but have put a few thousand miles still with no symptoms.

Are those QR code unique per car or per model? And is per car, what to do if inhibitor switch was replaced before or sticker is damage? Can we get coding data somewhere else?

I have a 2016 pathfinder s. I lost Voltage to the car due to a faulty alternator, car went into limp mode and threw the CVT Judder code. I replaced the alternator and got a new battery. Car drove great for 3 weeks. Car went into Limp mode again. Battery had a voltage drain on it so I disconnected the battery. Battery trickle charged on its own back to 12.85. I re connected the battery and drove the car for another 2.5 weeks. Car lost power again and cvt went into limp mode again. I repeated the process of disconnecting the battery and charging the battery. Reconnected the battery and drove the care again for over 2 weeks. The only time I received the Judder code and a check engine light was on the first time the car went into limp mode. Since I changed the battery and the alternator, I have not seen a check engine light or a judder code again. Yesterday I took my car to nissan to get a cvt fluid change, they scanned the car and seen the Judder code from when I got it the first time this whole thing happened. They suggested that i do not get the fluid changed, but buy a brand new CVT. My question is - THis is apparently a voltage shortage somewhere, maybe a faulty alternator due to me buying a refab alternator. Can a voltage shortage cause the cvt to go into limp mode? When the car is drivable, it drives great, no shudder or hard shifting, it drives very responsive and strong. Should I proceed with a fluid change on the cvt?

Mr Curtis can you do a video on a 2020 Nissan Sentra key programming. I have a locksmith friend that had an issue with the security gateway cable and the car never start again.

Im not sure if I had a chance to record my clients doing this procedure. All i know with the newer Nissans there are certain BCM's that will brick if you try to add a key. This might be your situations

I just got this code on my 2014 Pathfinder. Three times this week my car stopped accelerating in Drive and reverse. I took it into a shop. First they said Alternator done. Replaced. Breaks down the same day. They then replace the battery. Broke down today. 2 visits and 2 Tows later and I am down $2200 with no SUV. I tried again today and it did drive back up my driveway (it was stuck in the culdesac street), but I am too paranoid to drive it now. Only using my Tesla until I figure something out

This happens alot with some of my clients who work on their own vehicles. They get screwed over by the dealer and then they realize the amount of money they spent they could have bought a tool to do the procedure themselves. With the right tool and training you dont have to waist money at the dealer.

I havent diagnosed your vehicle to give you an answer and I dont know how the dealer came to that conclusion. They could be lying to you but tis hard to tell since I dont have a way to scan you vehicle

Do you mean do you need to update your tool? Im not sure which vehicle your working on but you can ask your supplier to long in remotely to see why its not allowing you to finish the procedure. Its difficult to see if its a software limitation or glitch with out checking

Curtis I was told at the auto shop that the P17FO CODE was detected on my Nissan 2015. I was told to take it to the dealer and it's making me nervous. The engine light is now on. My car is running like crap. Does this means I need a transmission put in? I don't have a back up car and I dont know what to do. Please help Me. Do you have a email contact you can share. Thanks

Im not 100 percent sure as I would need to log in your device to get full context and submit a data logging to the engineer.

I have a 2014 pathfinder. I have to use L then D when taking off. Otherwise it shakes. I have that code too. I'm in orange county ca. Anybody here that can help me?
