Brilliant video mate, got a wm racing bore kit for a rieju marathon pro 125 to out on. Only thing is that wr looks like there is alot more room to do that without taking the engine out

yo sick video really appreciate you sharing your expertise and process.. A video idea would be valve clearance adjustments on this bike. another idea would be suspension fork seal/oil replacement.. only a few videos on youtube and they're not very good to be honest, nice one bro

Great video, congrats. My only correction is the piston orientation. Per service manual the dot on the piston marks the exhaust side. I have just recently serviced a wr 125 with piston installed the same way as you recommended in this video and the intake valves clearly contacted the piston top resulting piston/cylinder fault. The deeper grooves on the piston top are aimed to fit the exhaust valves. They are actually smallar in diameter than the intake valves btw.

Interestingly, some gaskets between the crankcase and the cylinder have an oil hole and some do not. For me in yzf r125 there was such a hole.

Thank god for this video really scratching my head with whats wrong , I will check all comments but can you recommend a bore kit thats good dont want to be in same boat in a couple of months

Hi mate great video .I've got a yzfr125 that's smoking a lot I've done 2 strokes but never wanted 2 mess with 4 strokes but ur video is so informative I reckon I can give it a go do I need a new chain link tensioner or is the old one fine? A YZF is a bit harder due to the lack of room I recommend removing the engine tbh (take loads of pics) but same principle you can use the same tensioner on the YZF but it's slightly different undo the 2 8mm bolts or allen key bolt that holds the tensioner in place then on the back of the tensioner you have a 10mm bolt but be careful there's a spring inside you will see a tap to push back the tensioner when you put it back to gether put the tensioner in with out the spring time it all up then put the spring and bolt back in it

I wonder what the differences are with the XSR 125 regarding the bore and piston. Are those interchangeable? I would like to buy a big bore kit for mine but there aren’t many kits available for the new XSR 125 it seems.

It's the exactly the same only difference is the head but everything is the same as this video its the same engine as the yamaha MT 125

Why does Italkit bore kit tell you to install the piston other way around so that the bigger grooves on the piston would face towards the exhaust valves? I ignored the manual and installed it like you did because it doesn't make sense. Shop where I bought it from was also quite confused by the manual. However it should be installed by the manual otherwise the warranty is ruined....

If you put the piston the wrong way the valve can hit the piston I know this as I've done this by accident before

One time I saw my mechanic changing the chain of sprocket with his hands, doing a trick, instead of dismantling all the stuff. Hello mate with out removing the flywheel you won't get the chain off you will need a puller to remove the flywheel to get the chain off completely

Just use silicon and I don't mate no you will need a puller

i changed my piston and cylinder kit to a airisal 125 kit and i still have ticking & rattle sound. there is no play in the conrod and i fitted new cam chain tensioner and adjusted valves. the sound is comming from the top end of the engine

Be cool to see a yamaha dtr or a dtre or a dtx on the channel

Blew the skirt off my wr125, it was just a tiny tic then it started knocking real bad. Changed piston and i still have a little tic

Hi there,I have a yzf with the same engine but when I went to line up the timing Mark's the top one was at about 5 to 12 at tdc,and can't get it to line up ,any ideas .after removing head the inlets won't close fully no matter how many rotations I do .how do I solve it,and re time it up cheers

Which timing mark is the one you have to line up at the bottom bcs there is a dot a stripe a vertical line i belive

Hi! My timing chain goes around freely. Is my timing chain on the wrong gear? I have an mt 125 and the valves wont open when I start the bike after I reassembled it. In addition the flywheel wont move much when I turn the camshaft

You will need to remove the flywheel sounds like ylthe timing chain had come off the bottom gear

@@Zoomb1kes yeah. I’ve solved the chain issue. But I rotated the top-sprocket one turn by accident when the chain was off the bottom sprocket. The engine wont start now, so I think that is the problem. But since this is a 4 stroke bike. Do I nedd to rotate the top sprocket 3 turns?

I’ve been told that noise is due to the cam chain being worn etc, could it be mine is a mix of both or just one issue?

Try a new timing chain tentioner you can change that with out taking the engine apart also I've never seen these engines wear out a chain EVER and I've rebuilt so many its crazy

My bike doesn't idle when cold. It starts and then it gets quieter until it turns off. Then if i want to get it to start i have to put in neutral and hold the throttle open until it the bike can idle normally. Any idea what it could be? I have to point out that it started doing that after i left it in the rain for a day. I have replaced the fuel pump. The valves are ticking but not in an extreme way. If you have any idea what it could be i would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

@@Zoomb1kes yes i did when i changed the fuel pump. I am going to change the spark plug on Monday but i dont think it will do the trick. The bike also makes a noise that i think it is coming from the left side of the engine. Perhaps the Camshaft chain? But i don't think it is related to the issue with the idle. Other than that when it gets even a little warm it runs normal.

you may find its your 'tappets' valve clearance may need adjusting. the 4 strokes with tappets naturally make a tapping sound so maybe your just overthinking the noise, 0.10 for intake 0.20 for exhaust

do you know whats wrong with my rieju. i have 180cc kit and today i replaced camshaft with more powerful one. then i tried it out and it felt like it has less power and torque and it didnt run past 60kmh. then i adjusted valves and double checked timing but it didnt affect at all. i dont know what should i do to get it run well again

@@Zoomb1kes nope. i know a lot of local guys who got big bore kits with stock carburator. it is big enough for 180cc i just replaced main jet of the carb with bigger one. it was running well before powercam.
