OMG THANK YOU!! I live in a sketchy neighborhood and can't go to my mechanic for 3 days. I had to pull up on the window as hard as I could and slam it about 6x but it worked!

Success on the 4th slam on my 2013 VW Passat with 55k miles. My windows have never failed and first time was today. I rolled my driver window all the way down before vacuuming my car. 10min later it would not roll up at all. I ran the vacuum over my doorsill but I cant imagine that matters. I came across this video. The first three slams didn't work but after the fourth try I saw that my window was no longer rolled all the way down. There was only about 1 inch of glass showing and it happened so fast I never saw it move even though I never looked away. With a few more door slams I was able to roll my window all the way up. I am going to go share this video with a few friends now. Thanks for posting!

Fantastically valuable advice! Hurricane Harvey is heading our way and my window stuck in the down position on the drive home. Facing 4 straight days of rain, that was not a pleasant prospect. Tried your quick fix and it was an immediate fix. You bought me time to get the problem permanently fixed, after the storm.

I've been daily driving a Civic for 2 years with a back window that was cracked just enough to let in a lot of wind noise but it wouldn't roll up. I found this and thought it was too good to be true but sure enough on the second slam it worked! Thank you for this video, so much easier and cheaper than tearing the door apart to try and replace parts.

I want to give you props on letting people know that secret on slamming the door . I say secret because every other KZread mechanics are not letting that secret out . There’s all started with first taking the panel off and testing everything that has to do with a power window. I want to thank you very much for putting your KZread vid out . It helped me when I was having a long busy bad day .

Oh wow, this really does work. I had been trying to fix this for a while. My wife watched this and told me about slamming the door. I was thinking whatever, but decided to try it. After slamming it hard, while she held the switch, and to my disbelief it went up. Thank you for this easy fix, and her smart searching.

My 18 year old son just drove across state to visit his girlfriend in college. He rolled his window down just before he got there and it wouldn't go back up - and checked the fuse to no avail. He was pretty discouraged after watching all the videos on KZread because all he really wanted to do was visit with his girlfriend, NOT work on his car. I stumbled across this video and .. well, let's say .. I'm the most favorite mom and YOU sir, are our most favorite mechanic.

thanks to you, I've just fixed it, a passenger window that was completely opened and didn't want go back; I brought my old van to one mechanic, he said: it is something with electrical system, I can not fix it; then I go to another station, they were closed on Saturday, and I have to drive tomorrow morning 45 minutes to work, it looks the storm and rain is coming; you and your video help me; thanks to god there are such smart people like you share your wisdom and experience; THANK YOU SO MUCH

Thanks so much, I tried checking all the fuses, cleaning all the related ground cables, taking the door apart and lifting it manually but after watching this I knocked on the windoe motor once with a hammer (since I had just exposed it) and it rolled all the way up! 😄

Thank you so much! Had my window regulator go and couldn't get the window up. To make matters worse I had to get the window up to remove the regulator. My dad and I got the window up. I slammed the door and tried the switch while he pulled the pane up. I can now replace the regulator myself and you guys have saved me a lot of money. Thank you!

My useless ass boyfriend wouldn’t come help me pull my window up this video literally saved my day 😭💕

Sir, you’re a hero! My window got stuck on the freeway during a rainstorm. First slam, boom! Worked like a charm!

This video was very helpful. My daughter rolled her window down and then the window refused to come back up and with a great deal of rain showers coming in the area tonight I panicked. After watching this video and actually doing this. It allowed the window to roll back up with ease. Now the windows are back on child lock. Thanks to the maker of this video. You saved me a few hundred bucks today and I will get that window repaired asap.

@@Master-zp5pn $50 for a window regulator or motor I'm assuming. The thing is, April's window probably broke more permanently not long after this. As they say in the video, this could get you out of a bind but it's most likely starting to break.

I had problems with a rear window not wanting to roll down. After so many years I saw your video and tried it. And it worked. It rolled down as I whammed the car door shut while pressing the button down. Thanks a lot. Now I don't need to go to the mechanic and spend so much money for nothing.

Tried it multiple times, and almost gave up thinking it wasn't going to work. After about the 6th slam, and clicking up a bunch of times on the switch it went all the way up! Thanks for the tip!

Your fucken awesome bro they were charging me $110 to fix this on my mustang gt for my driver window I just tried what you said and boom it’s working again thanks a lot 👍🏽

I looked at the a few videos on replacement - which will come next and had tried shaking and bumping with the switch up. When I saw this video I thought it was like what I had already tried until I watched the video and saw a few comment from others with colorful adjectives about how hard to slam the door. Son-of-a-gun! One really good slam and the sucker came right up!!!! Thanks. At least I can drive until the replacements parts come in. I bought my Frontier new in 2009 out still has less than 100K and I have taken care of it. The nickel and dime accessories seem to be the only thing I have faced over the past year. Thanks for saving my bacon!
