What you are saying is dishwashers made recently are junk and I would agree. Just retired a perfect Maytag 'cuz the wife wanted a new kitchen. The GE replacement(home depot) is a pile of #@^%. The Maytag would get the water super hot w/o me priming it first. Again, this simply means that todays dishwashers are junk.

Yup, I had an ancient Kitchen Aid - the kind we had as a kid in the early 70's, and it always dried the dishes completely. And when I sold the house, not very long ago, it still ran flawlessly. Not quiet like my new Bosch, but the dishes were clean and dry. I'd take noisy and dry over silent and wet any day.

Thank you for this video. I was trying to help my grandparents fix their dishwasher that wouldn't dry and it turns out their water doesn't even get to 100 degrees. It was capping out at about 94 degrees! They had been taking cold showers and not asking anyone to fix it this whole time. Grandpa likes it cold, but grandma was suffering this whole time. So thank you. Testing this solution tonight by adjusting the water heater to higher than "Low Heat" xD

No vent/vent motor that I can find to check out. KitchenAid support just recommend adding rinse aid, but that's not doing the trick. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Nope, this isn't a solution to our problem. We have very hot water and it doesn't take long at all to get hot. Dishwasher just doesn't dry well and now isn't cleaning well. It's only 3 years old and is a higher end model. Repair guy took a quick look and could offer no soltions either. Was hoping for something like cleaning a filter or something that is blocking the machine from doing what it needs to do.

That would be great however there are laws in the United States that determine the energy consumption of appliances. A dishwasher with the ability to boil water in advance would be way over the energy consumption level. I have an on demand hot water heater under my sink next to the dishwasher. So that eliminates any hot water issues. Mike ☺

You can thank the EPA for today's dishwashers failing to dry the dishes! My 35 year old Whirlpool just kicked the bucket and we're having a funeral for it since it dried the dishes so well that it was as though I'd left them in the Sahara for a week and did so without raising my water temperature, or using fan blown air, having to open the door to allow water saturated hot air to escape, or some dumb-ass rinse aid. The reason? It had a 1500 watt coil in the bottom. Since then the EPA stepped in and decided that I was wasting too much energy on electricity and too much water to clean the dishes so it instituted regulations on the size of the heater and amount of water I should use forcing the manufacturers to change their technology. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH! A dishwasher has only two jobs: Wash the dishes. Dry the dishes. If it ain't doing both, al the bells and whistles are just so much useless B.S.! You can also thank the EPA for the fact that your shower heads now dribble the water out instead of spraying like a pressure washer, since they forced the manufacturers to put flow restrictors in their shower products. So I have to disassemble them and remove the restrictors to get the water flow I want. The EPA thinks they know better than the the citizenry. Frankly, I find them a collective waste of human DNA!
