Bro I have a 5 door version of this car. Do we think these roofs are the same between versions? I'd love one

Wish I could do this as the roof on my car is huge so must weigh a fair bit but it's not allowed in the rules of some of the series I race in. Seems a lot easier than I thought it would be.

its not as difficult on some cars as people think. although removing windscreen is probably what scares people.

Imagine the weight-Savings on that Audi roof 👀 That one will surely be 10kgs lol Do it to prove you aren't a liar 🤣 Also, spot weld chisels are great. Just be careful.

Question Ruski! Id like to do this on my street car (400whp volvo v70) i do like a mix of comfort and performance and i do have composite experience, but does road noise increase a lot from a set up like this? assuming interior is kept in place! I need sleeper status 😎

hard to say. in theory this should reduce road noice as carbon is better sound insulator than thin sheet of metal.

@RuskiWeldFab interesting. You may be right! I'm sure the headliner back on will do some dampening, too. Or yea just opt to keep all interior except the cool little special addition of when you look up and see that carbon...thanks Ruski!
