    excellent video mate. I was looking for exactly this instructions since I only need to do one latch mortise and don't want to have to pay a lot for a guide/jig if I only use it once.

    Always put some tape on drill but as to know the depth of drilling

    A bit of a tip, if this is for an external door it should be a BS lock, if not you are probably not insured

    In some lower quality locks yeah but most are changeable

    maybe it is better you sharpen your chisels. it is a pain to watch how you break the wood instead of cutting it. it looks like someone scraped it out with a spoon and punched the holes in with a screwdriver. please have a little more respect for the wood and the work, because the result of the woodworking doesn't have to look so terribly careless.

    @@carcharodoncarcharias1321 lol the whole point is to break that piece of wood. Whether you are using a chisel or digging it out with a butter knife it makes no difference. Do you check the frame and inner woodworkings of all furniture that you buy (Sofas, beds, headboards etc)? Stop being a douche for the sake of being a douche.
