How to Fish Lipless Crankbaits for Bass

Спорт

In this video, I take you lipless crankbait fishing and show you how to fish lipless crankbaits for bass. Along the way we cover all of the equipment needs, the types of lipless crankbaits, the ones I like to use and how to fish them. This is a huge category so make sure you watch the entire video and use it as your tutorial guide for when you go lipless fishing. This is one of my favorite ways to catch fish and I'm sure this can be true for you as well. The bites can sometimes be bone jarring!

Hi Den, great info thanks! In NJ, our lakes are mostly shallow and extra weedy so the cordel is my favorite here because I can keep it shallow

Good video Dan. I have used the ripping rap in extremely shallow water before. I have caught a lot of fish doing that when they're extremely aggressive especially when there's a little current along with weed lines. I got hung up quite a bit in grass but I caught so many more by having that fast drop that triggered bites on the fall as well as burning it. Having that faster sink made me reel faster to trigger the bites.

Good info Jay, thanks. That bait has caught me a lot of fish, especially on the fall.

The lipless crank has replaced my deep diving crankbaits. They can go deep without the fatigue of a 10XD. They key like you pointed out is to be erratic with the retrieve. 👍🎣

That 10XD can wear you out. How deep do you fish the lipless?

Nice video Den, lately my "trap" of choice has been the BooYa one knocker in the Royalty color pattern. Caught a 7+ on it down here, and some days it can't be beat. I wish Booya made the same color pattern in a 3/4 oz, for fishing deeper water in the summer when temps go way up.

Thanks Dave. Nice looking bait and Royalty is like a lavendar shad. Gotta get me some of those!

Thanks for the video Den, really liking this spring time bait series. You caught some good sized bass for that lake if you know what I mean. Take care.

It’s my LEAST favorite lure to fish, which is why I came here! I know that they catch fish, but I haven’t taken the time to build confidence in them quite yet. So, appreciate the info, Den!

@@vincedart8320 Well, their H2O line makes some pretty decent lures these days. The micro crankbaits and walking baits have been more than effective for me.

The lure you didn't know the name of looked like a Daiwa.

it does resemble the Daiwa but it is different in that the back hook is attached directly to the back of the lure. I bought the thing at a bassmaster seminar in Harrisburg or Hershey 20 years ago or more.

I can't get my nerve up to throw a pulled a, too shallow waters, too many weeds. I have a bunch, have not tossed 1 yet.
