I guess the cat's out of the bag. Lol. When I am fishing shallow lakes or know that the fish are shallow, I always play with the retrieve and change colors often. If I am having little to no success, I change presentations and colors fairly regularly. I have had success as the water warms to after the spawn until June with a fast start and stop, slow, medium, & fast consistent crank, with no pauses. Like you said, it all depends on what they prefer that moment. Square bill fishing can be more difficult the closer you get to the dog days of summer. Then I lean more on the sweeping method more times than any. Great video Den
