How to Fish Blade Baits: A Tutorial

Спорт

In this video, I go in depth on how to fish blade baits for multiple species of fresh water fish including bass and stripers. I cover a number of makes and models, the types of fish they catch, modifications that make blade baits better and the various retrieves that trigger fish.

Good information. I like the two piece blade baits on three way rig. they work good with the blade bait on the bottom and a no weight curly tail on a hook about 5 to 8 inches above.

The XPS Laser Shad saved the day on the New River in VA! I tied it on late in the day and caught a couple smallies, a 20" walleye and a 17" striper. Fished it perpendicular to the current. Great lure. The content and insight in your videos are very valuable. Thank you for sharing. Please keep up the good work.

Good video the Damiki Vault is my favorite bait. I like to reel it very slowly and let it fall to the bottom and start reeling again. The strikes mostly come when I start reeling again. I also use it like a lipless during the summer and fall month's.

we use blades for african tigerfish, almost the only bait that can withstand the tiger's teeth, even rapala get bitten in half... also the speed of retrieve with a blade triggers the amazing speed hits from tigerfish... fast flat retrieve works great for them, what we also do is replace the trebles with a big eye single hook, open the hook eye and hook it into the split ring hole and close it up again, a single hook adds serious hooking capability over a treble, you can add soft tails, feathers or even a small willow leaf spinner at the back and a single on the bottom.
