Thanks for another video of AWESOME tips! Bass season starts this weekend - I'm hopin' for lotsa action when we go fishin' tomorrow! I love how your videos go a bit in depth on what the lure/set up looks like, what to look for/where to fish, and the different retrieving techniques. Most of the other videos out there seem to be 2 or 3 minute infomercials for a lure or rod and reel combo.

+BassResource Glenn, all your tips and videos are top notch. I went out today and caught my first ever crankbait fish. When that bite died down, I threw my Ned Rig (keeping in mind that video). Two casts with two fish later, I gave my father-in-law, who has never really believed in fishing plastics at all, his own Ned Rig set up and he was slaying them, too. So, the Ned Rig worked best today, and it sold my father-in-law on the value of plastic finesse lures. It just may be more cost effective than using nightcrawlers. Tight lines!

Tubes still are an awesome but often forgotten plastic bait. I've never mojo rigged them , but I routinely rig them with a split shot up the line depending on the structure or cover. A good presentation I often use is the shot rig, a light wire ewg hook to fit the size tube being used. I put a round ball rattle just inside the tube so it stays in but also traps air between the rattle & head of the tube which enables it to be more buoyant. At times this is a very productive presentation. It is especially killer for monster smallies leaving the beds in search of food!!

I've tried this on smallmouth fishing on Canada trips after a cold front Helps me slow the retrieve and keep the bait at the bottom.

Hi Glenn. It seems that I've always had trouble with my hook sets when going back and forth between heavy and light tackle, so that discussion was useful to me as well as the discussion on selecting weight size and shape. Really, the whole video was great as always. Thanks again!
