HOW TO FINGERLESS WHISTLE IN 30 MINUTES ● PROGRESSION TUTORIAL

Спорт

Welcome everyone! In this video I learn to fingerless whistle loudly after 30 minutes of focused practise. I run through the basic steps that are required to be able to fingerless whistle/ taxi whistle. So this video is both a progression video and tutorial.
Let me know how you get on and add any further tips in the comments!

    I accidently discovered a whistle like this when I was in seventh grade. I have adhd and was actually just being dumb. I was in study hall basically just making deflating balloon noises. Random I decided to push my jaw forward and made a small u with my tongue. It was the loudest whistle I have ever heard. I've got better at controlling it.

    I was 5 or 7 and since a very young age I could whistle very good like very good. So I also have adhd and so when one day idk how it worked I just whistled like in the video without fingers and I kept doing it over and over. Time passed after a few years I reallly forgot about it but one day while I started my athletics career I heard the big guys doing it and I remembered I could do it now I am 16 and I still don’t know the technique, the people that have it by talent are really rare I can even flute with the sound 😂😂

    Note to confused viewers: I also grew frustrated with the comments of success which arent informative, so here's my input: Its simpler than you think. What worked for me was tongue on lower teeth, different from other comments I've read. Try making a normal songwhistle shape *after* pushing your jaw forward. If your tongue is on the roof of your mouth with a normal whistle, I would advise practicing with your tongue on the floor of your mouth before attempting this. If you have that mastered already, push your jaw forward and hold it while you attempt to make a songwhistle pucker, then put your tongue on your lower teeth. This is just what worked for me. I was trying to do complicated, tongue-rolling techniques that don't seem to be necessary. My other tip (this has quickly become an essay) is to just take breaks. Trying to learn in one go will frustrate you and make you try the same things over and over. As soon as I got off my ass and did something else I was able to pull it off. If you're still having trouble, try a normal whistle to "reset" your mouth (idk how to say it) or try shifting while whistling to the different mouth shapes described by various people. Anyway, that's all I have. Have fun!

    This video has some serious golden tips than managed me to whistle after 2 or 3 days. Golden rules: 1. Keep underlip tight to bottom teeth 2. Try to let the tip of your tongue hover against your underlip while you blowing air 3. Find the sweet spot and start focusing on that !!!! 4. Have patience, keep practice but dont overdoing it 5. Dont watch other videos where they tell you to make weird shapes with your tongue. It just makes the situation more complex then it really is. After you find the sweet spot and practiced alot, your brains will automatically memorize it and place your tongue in its correct position when you want to whistle.

    Fluttering tounge!!! I've watched a bunch of videos on how to do this and nobody mentioned that!? I've walked around for weeks hissing and spitting, because they said to push and force the tounge to get the air to the front. Then you say flutter, I relax my tounge to make it so and voila, I got a pretty loud whistle 5 minutes after finishing this video. Thanks!

    thanks so much..it finally worked for me after watching this video...and too many tutos on how to whistle. I thought at first I had to push the jaw forward (like others recommended) but it didn't work for me at all, it was the opposite move that worked..to pull a little backward instead of pushing the jaw.. and to imagine blowing air down through a straw into a glass of water to make bubbles..slowly pushing the air out without force at first to find the sweet spot. Finally made my first ever whistle sound.. still can't believe it..everything is possible once you get the right way of doing things.

    Been trying for over 2 months. The only whistle noise I can get is not loud, and it requires bringing my upper lip down, so I'm pretty sure that's a dead end headed in the wrong direction. Def should've made actual progress by now. After a month of no progress, I began wondering if I just don't have the correct mouth roof shape / teeth size to do it, so at that point it's like the consequences of being short height where there's nothing you can do to fix it.

    Is the air supposed to be coming only from the gap of your upper front teeth of from under them, or a tiny gab between your lower lip and tongue?

  • @rong2962
    @rong29623 жыл бұрын

    I've known how to do it all this time, I was just confusing myself by thinking that this guy was doing a different kind of whistle. When I do it quietly with low airflow it sounds like a good mix between a seagull and an elk call, with the proper amount of practice and control I could probably perform the Ennio Morricone

    Hi, thanks for the tutorial, it's very helpful. I just have two questions. When you mentioned press the tongue against the lower lip, how hard do you have to press it, like really light, full on hard press or somewhere in between? Also, when you mentioned keeping that gap between tongue and upper teeth small, do you have to bite down hard or do you let the tongue come up to meet the teeth? Thanks for clarifying, and thanks for the video

  • @jobacusmovies

    @jobacusmovies

    3 жыл бұрын

    Thanks a lot man! And great questions! In answer to the first one, it's really lightly. And for the second one you let the tongue and teeth meet together (remember the tongue should stay level with the bottom lip), but again very lightly, don't bite down hard otherwise you'll struggle to get that small gap. Keep adjusting until you get that initial shrill sound and then power on!

    How do you make your tongue shake or vibrate

  • @jobacusmovies

    @jobacusmovies

    3 жыл бұрын

    Try to narrow the gap between your tongue and the top of your mouth, by blowing air through that smaller gap you should start to feel your tongue vibrate. But once you've managed that, you should focus on the air flow between your top teeth and tongue. Keep making small adjustments until you get it, it can take time. I hope this helps :)

    I found out why I can't whistle. When my adult teeth were growing in, two of my front canines decided not to grow. I basically have 2 gaps in front of my teeth. The closest I get to a whistle is the shrill sound, but when I pull my upper lip upward, the whistle progress goes silent. 😞

    I think I'm in a similar boat. Larger than average buck teeth that protrude farther than the neighboring teeth, small gap between them but not much, and the only whistle sound I can get here is when I bring my upper lip down into the equation and bring my jaw backwards, both alterations against the vid's instructions. Also think I'm bringing my lower lip further back over my bottom teeth. It's a distorted airy whistle sound that doesn't sound right, and I can't make it loud, so I'm pretty sure it's a dead end headed in the wrong direction. I can't get any whistle sound whatsoever with all combinations/positions that meet the vid's requirements :(
