I used this, and it helped DRAMATICLY. I could only shoot from the free-throw line, and then I started being able to shoot threes, and then from the volleyball line. I quit practicing for a while, because I had to work, and my shot got cold, so now i am restarting the process, and can already shoot threes again. But what you should take away from this is USE THESE TIPS!!!!!!!

It's probably because you release later (when you're at the peak of your jump) so you don't generate as much force because you're at a point where your body isn't going up anymore and is just at a stationary state before falling down

guys this video definitely helps with your shooting fundamentals but please don't get lazy and expect this video alone to improve your shooting the one thing that helped me throughout the years was just getting on the court and shooting to find your form. You gotta get all the rock out til you find the gold. I'm tellin you guys I used to do many of the mistakes in this video when I was younger and I have a successful shot. Its all in the work guys.

Nice video. I'm an "old guy" here but always trying to improve my shooting. It's gotten better over the years even as I am over 40. But some of the tips here and stuff I've always wondered about. I'm tapped my hip to get my shot though I don't think I do it consistently. I've brought the ball close to my body too. I've always wondered why my shot was inconsistent. I have plenty of video of myself and noticed recently that the lower my set point was, the snappier and better my shot was. I guess this video confirmed I should start with the ball lower than higher. Thanks for this!

For young people, ive seen this so much through the years, dont try to develop a shooting technique for 3s when you dont have power to shoot from far away, just master the shot from where u are able to do it with no high effort and focus on tecnique. Key is, no matter if u make the shots when u start, focus on good habits vs bad habits.

I'm late but... Thank you so much for this coach! I'm an ok player who can dribble good, get rebounds, break ankles, defend good and finish around the rim in traffic quite good. But my only problem was shooting. I always felt that my form was broke, and ugly. I could never get to shoot smoothly. But this video helped me a whole lot! My shot and form felt a lot smoother and I could get a lot more power into my shots especially my 3-pointers. Thanks a lot coach! You the man! 👌👊💥

The correct way is to just go to the spot in between the basket and the free throw line and shoot with your new form. Aim for 100-200 made shots a day. I did this to change from a 2 to 1 handed shot and I could shoot from three in two weeks

Look at the rim- best guys say you want the ball to drop on front of rim - the drop angle of 35-40 degrees is optimal. Don’t think of target as a 2D target but rather a 3D target-

Hey coach, i practice my layups by starting at the 3 point line and drive with a couple moves, but it always does 1 of these:1. Hits the bottom of the backboard and the rim and comes back to me, or 2. Goes high on the backboard and bricks. What should i do

The shot that hits the rim from the top of backboard needs to hit the backboard harder and u need to start practicing moves with a slow motion so you have more control and gently increase the speed to avoid hitting the rim also hitting the rim below might be cause of vertical jump

  • @hendriancheng1743

In my experience, my uncle told me I'm missing my lay ups because I don't look at the rim when execute. After that, I can almost always hit lay ups, even the contested ones because I'm looking at the rim when I did it. (It gave me more focus, measurement, and vision) Maybe that's your problem too
