Not in every door in every car. In my Ford, the door key will not stop the horn from going off. Only the ignition, the PATS system.

What exactly do you do with the factory disarm wire when you find it?

If you have a remote starter, you connect a (-) output from the remote start to the disarm wire. Prevents the alarm from going off if you're using the FOBs on the remote start to lock/unlock/start

@@shaun6718 I have a viper remote starter system and my factory alarm goes off when I try to remote start the car. My remote starter has a factory alarm disarm output wire. Do I splice it directly into the factory disarm wire in the driver's door or do I need d some kind of relay?

Will this work with 2012 charger? I locked me keys in the trunk got the door open but factory alarm is enabled and disabled the trunk release from inside car . could I unplug the factory alarm somehow?

It's weird how your trunk actually stayed close with the keys in it. That model and year usually has a sensor so if your keys are in your trunk, it won't allow your trunk to close. It will keep opening.

How do I disarm the alarm once I find it?

Ok. Supposedly, unlocking the drivers door, disarms the alarm. Could you just remove the door panel and use a zip tie, or whatever (depending on the type of switch) to hold the switch down ? Then never worry about it again .

If i cut that wire will it disarm the pats on a ford freestar van. Please help i do not want this system. Someone destroyed my ignition, the immobilizer module and i had to disconnect the battery because the alarm wont shut up. I use this vehicle for work I've talk to 5 separate people at the ford dealership, another guy from their collision center who referred me to car toys. All to no avail. The closest thing to a solution that I've seen is to get a bypass module. Its pisses me off that i cant even start my van with my keys or even a screwdriver for that matter

I have a 2005 Chrysler Crossfire. As recently as March 2017, I've been experiencing "something" draining my Brand New battery to DEAD. I've had Triple A test altenator twice they say its good. Just got a new computer chip in starter to communicate with cars engine from Chrysler in January 2017, but since this, I cannot drive my car because of above problem, never experienced this with my car before. Can you give me any ideas? Help

I test the fuses individually till I find the circuit drawing down the battery then go from there. It's as simple as using a multimeter to see the voltage drop when the key is off pull each fuse till it stops drawing down

some Chrysler products need you to put the key in the door and manually lock and unlock it . On G.M products you need to cycle the ignition on and off 3 times. it takes about 20 minutes each time till the light stops flashing then repeat 3 times

Using the key will only disarm for 12 sec. Check p84 of your owners manual. You will need to either have key in run pos, unlock w/ key fob/int door locks, or use the door keypad if equipped to cancel the re-arming.

try unlocking the driver door 2x with the key, see if that does it. if not find the starter disable and remove /replace it.

Never use the measuring device in this video. Professionals use digital meters. The tool in this video can destroy the body control module or other systems, it can deploy an airbag. Not all factory disarm wires are accessible here. Chrysler is behind on technology.

you send power at 12 volts where it possibly shouldnt be yes you run the risk of damaging something... you send power to an airbag signal wire boom airbag goes off

Using this tool to check wires by putting holes in them is the WORST way to check for anything

if you have issues with your alarm mate thats all wrong the way you do it is lawnch it from a boat ramp and sink the fucken car
