so true about exploring.. I personally live in a quite small village and concrete/ complex structures are rare.. but ive found a way around that..I actually train a lot in forests and , cliffs/ rock formations around waters etc...Exploring is definetly part of the fun for me ..i actually picked up hiking and climbing because of it..Ive found caves..Insanely cool rocks formations..Trees that grew in certain ways, allowing me to precision between branches ETC..ive had lots of wild animal encounter also..For me , parkour and exploring is actually closely related in terms of our ''inner child desires'' i now blend everything together..I go out in adventures with light equipements and explore ,looking and finding spots and cool challenges in nature..the uneven , alive , growing and changing terrain and obstacles in nature sparks that parkour joy in me even more..Maybe cause we evolved in nature, moving through it...its in our core. Add that to the city and buildings and the whole world just instantly become a big explorable parkour park..It literally is a child dream ..and tapping into that really brings one of the best and pure hapiness in life..I really believe so. and its so worth sharing

Your city is soo nice for this stuff, I’m in the Midwest in South Dakota, and the landscape of my specific city is just all houses, about 3 parks that have structures(most parks are just playgrounds and land), a couple schools that have good landscaping, and businesses(which are a no go).

In the area where I live there isn't really that great areas to find spots to train per say. So what I ended up doing was making do with what I got. But I noticed that as I got better with parkour I end up looking at the same spot a bit differently which ends up me seeing things in a new light. And if I were to take assassin's creed into this gotta use that eagle vision lol

The biggest thing for me is I use my creative mind to make my many lines, out of anything around me. I mean their are ideal spots. But sometimes it doesn't workout that way. So you have to make your own. That's what parkour is about getting out and explore your environment around you and a different way. Everyone has there own style.🙂🙌🏃🏾‍♂️

I've been trying to learn parkour, I've at least mastered balance from my years as a kid in taekwondo. But it's still hard to find goor spots.

Just starting out, it can be very intimidating having to find spots, learn everything, and feel like you are progressing. I would recommend linking up with a couple locals as you get started, at least to have a handful of good spots you can start exploring. 🤙🏼

Rilla hops did a video on it , while he didn’t go in depth completely he did give really good tips for precision’s , cats and falling. I’d recommend to watch it , it actually made me a better athlete because I was able to send farther jumps and not me scared cause I knew I could safely bounce back

The worst part about my parkour spot is that it is in the area of a caring home so i cant use it😖😖

I would chat with the home and see if they would be okay with it! For some reason, some older people really enjoy watching parkour. At least the ones I’ve talked to!

@Josiah Page So Benj from the Storror guys came up with the term. Obviously, strides are usually a series of consecutive steps. Tic tac is a push off of a vertical surface. So a tech tac is a tic tac with a very precise take off of a horizontal surface, but not consecutive like strides. Just 1 and done, like a tic tac. I have NO IDEA if I explained that well at all 😂

Phoenix is a beautiful city for sure, the summers are BRUTAL, but the winters make up for it. Growing up in Michigan though, I really miss all of the green, and the brisk cool falls, and the leaves changing.
