This post is quite timely for me. My partner and I are currently looking for apartment to long term rental; 2BR+1B. We were considering basement but the cons of living there seems alot based on our preference. We've now shifted our search towards Apartment buildings / Condos, lol. Btw, Basements are actually more than 1200 for a decent space (2BR+1B range from 1,100 to 1700), except for singles who probably are looking at 1BR+1B unit. Been checking on Facebook Marketplace and Kijiji and mehn..., it's been such a sport tbh. Thanks again for sharing. Quite informative!!!

I dislike house hunting it’s so frustrating. Some basements are as expensive as an apartment, I wonder why they do that.

I want to find out if it’s possible to send my first degree transcript to WES now and send the second one(CIPM) later in September;since I’m not yet done with CIPM.

Yes, you can if you think getting the transcript for your first degree might take time

If your Certificate is not available yet, you can sent SOR or transcript. I believe they can equally evaluate those

Looks like I will have to stay in an airbnb instead of sharing apartment till I can get a job, a good credit score and save enough. I feel like it will be better that way. What do you think? I dont want to rent a house I dont really like or agree to share an apartment with someone I am not comfortable with because of rush. What do you think?

I'm in this dilemma. What province are you going to? I'm heading to Regina and I'm trying to secure a place for a 6 months lease, I find that air BnB are more expensive in the long run

You can discuss with the Airbnb host to have long term stay. But after a while it becomes like sharing and you’re no longer just a guest but housemate.

@@WhizQueen yea. I guess so. There are options for monthly stay on airbnb platform. If I am comfortable with the person, then why not. If not, I will either book another airbnb or move in with someone if I have found a nice housemate. I really don't want to sign a lease immediately because I don't know where I will get a good job. I go where the money is

The ones I've listed in the description are genuine but you need to be sure of the people you're dealing with

my wife is from canada ,she is married with me for 12 years and we live in the netherlands. now i am not working anymore we want to move back to canada,dryden ontario or medican hat. its hard to find something and also make me a resident of canada..we want to rent a home..how? we are 63 years old.

My landlord asked for everything. credit score, bank statements, paystubs, employment letter, and then full year rent (12 months). I had to negotiate that down to 5months. sigh!
