Thank you for noticing that. I try to be as down to earth as possible.

Another reason early season is great is there is more daylight, and you can do an evening hunt after work. Deer also just seem to move more the first month or so

We've had great weather in WI this summer. Nights and mornings are in the 50's now. We'll get our payback in Jan-Feb when we get weeks of -20....so there's that to look forward to

I use a simple tripod seat I found at Walmart in the outdoor section. It's taller than most so I can sit up higher. I replaced the little strap that came with it. The strap I put on it is from a duffle bag and it allows me to loosen the strap to go over my larger late season clothing when carrying it in. The other 'seat' I use is a boat cushion. Nothing fancy, but it's green, 3 inches thick and keeps the cold ground temps away from my body. I only use that because it's available. One seat I would like to get one day is the XOP ground seat. It's available on their website. I has a back rest and used for setting against a tree while hunting on the ground.
