Proper backswing and shallowing early in the downswing would by itself take care of many other potential issues. Utterly important, and utterly great lesson!

Would you do this differently with a wedge vs a driver as far as under/over???

Your videos have been a tremendous help to my irons game, I only wish I had discovered them earlier. Driver very inconsistent(200yds-240yds). Do you have a video on the proper mechanics of the right arm while using driver?

Clay - does it matter where the grounded stick is placed in regards to the position of the ball between your feet?

Does it matter what angle the stick is in the ground? As long as it is the same angle as your golf club at address, it should be fine?

Thanks for the great tip Clay, my swing seems flat and am excited to see how this feels! Only thing is, we don't have grass ranges this time of year up in British Columbia, is there a device that can support an alignment stick to have it propped up like this on a mat range? Thanks :)

I empty the basket with range balls in, then turn the basket upside down and place the alignment stick through the holes of the basket 🙂

1:19 - talks about the angle of orange shaft and where is should be by using your own golf club as a guide .

Clay ...can you talk about shallowing the shaft at the last 1/3 of the downswing ?? ...I know I shallow the shaft at the top but somewhere around P6 it steepens and I end up with impact near the hosel ...I think my solution involves getting my right wrist into ulnar deviation 1/2 way down ....while also keeping this right wrist in extension (not easy) ...and simultaneously getting belt buckle to face the target / maintaining side bend right

Hi, I would recommend shallowing it the club at the beginning of the downswing. If you do that then you don't have to worry about the other things you're talking about. If you shallow it later then you have to depend more on timing instead of just pivoting. Play well! Quentin | TSG Instructor

Looks like home depot driveway markers, you don’t really need the fancy branded stuff it’s the same thing and cheap

The simplest way to shallow the club is to put your trail elbow in towards the side of your stomach when starting the downswing!

After you make these changes you will not play good golf for weeks or even months. It is a complete rebuild but if you want a correct swing it must be done.
