Great video, one thing i wanted to know was the settings that everyone keeps forgetting, you mentioned it. Well done, yes i think you should make a separate video about the same house if can, how you edit it and add in the sound effects and also how you speed up and slow down motion. Again well done

I mean I’d challenge any agent to know the difference however I do think most agents would take issue if they paid for a video and the videographer showed up with just an iPhone and gimbal. That being said… I’ve seen it done by professionals. If it’s clean it can be done.

I had an agent who was doing an open house at someone else's listing ask me to come out and show him this to advertise for the open house. With the listing agents permission of course, we went out to the vacant home and shot one of these to advertise the open house. I have also showed up to opens a little early and pulled out my phone and shot a quick open house marketing video and used iMovie to add interior still photos with "Ken Burns" effect enabled. This is a quick easy way to do a video. If you have agents in your office that don't mind you advertising their listings than yes I think this is great marketing for your social media.

Great video, but just had one question. Do you do any color grading for your real estate videos at all? I know that it is quite important in some other types of videography, but was just seeing if it makes that much of an impact for these real estate videos. Thanks!
@realestateagentdevelopment

I usually edit in Adobe Premiere pro… I will do some color grading on the talking head stuff (with me in it) and if I have any drone clips. When it comes to the inside I want the video to represent the house well so I don’t manipulate any colors however I will bring up my lumetri scopes panel and do some color correction… mainly corrections to exposure, white balance, etc…. I should add that there was no color correction or grading done on the clips shot in this video. iPhone does a pretty good job.

Yes it does get a little noisy when a room is too dark. If the footage is noisy I tend to cut that clip short or leave it out. Main spaces like kitchens/ dining areas, living rooms, upstairs bedrooms there usually isn’t an issue. Usually it’s darker lower levels and bathrooms that can sometimes be an issue.

Dhulsan smaller homes are actually easier to film. Just make sure you have whole lighting and you may need to go a little wider. Same process just more of the house shown as a final product.

Make sure you wipe down your lens every time you shoot… any excess oils will cause light flairs coming off of any light source. There are also polarizers you can buy to reduce glare on your phone camera… this is a filter that clips onto the lens or screws on in some cases with a special case.

Why do you use the regular iPhone camera app, DJI osmo 3 app connects to the iPhone and you can shoot from there. Is there a difference between using either one?

Originally there was no support to shoot 60 fps inside of the DJI Mimo app. I think they have updated the app to support slow mo now but I have grown used to the iPhone app… easier to switch frame rates and adjust exposure. I used to use filmic pro originally but decided to switch back to the native camera app.
