He is right about #1: Don't gloss over that. Make the thing itself, the shot, the presentation, the actual content as good as you can. The less times you think to yourself "Meh.. I can do that/fix that/add that/ in the editing" is the way less difficult life will be. At least, that was a big big lesson I learned. Really, Tip 1 is gigantic and central!

Hi Justin its good to hear someone talk about android for once instead of I phone. I've watched your video on filmic pro and it seems like a great app but when I used fhe filmic pro evaluater on my Samsung A70 a lot of the functions won't work with my phone such as on my phone I can shoot 4k but filmic pro won't let me shoot in 4k, on my phone I can shoot 1080p at 60 FPS but rhe maximum on filmic pro is 1080p 30 FPS which is a shame great video though thank you😁👍

Great video, But it would be even great if you can help with followings 1, If we can use secondary mobile to control the main cam sitting away from it 2, If not secondary mobile, any kind of wireless joystick or something like that because setting up exposure and focus while standing next to cam and while sitting away from cam becomes different. . I am making videos from mobile for years now, and this was the biggest challenge I face.

Quick filming tip. If you can't look at the camera lens of your smartphone due to it being perfectly camouflaged in the cell phone body; here's a way to make it's location obvious. 1) Take a piece of colored tape or sticky note that does not leave a sticky residue. 2) Punch a hole in it using a 1/4 inch paper punch. 3) Place the tape or sticky note on your phone with the camera in the center of the hole. Now you can see exactly where the camera is; and have a target to look at.

You saved me with your videos. I went to film my first online cheesemaking class with DSLRs and to edit with Sony Vegas Pro and got super stuck and overwhelmed because of the massive learning curve. Used your suggestions with ease and success (used filmaker pro because I hadn't watched your editing video yet). One question, what adapter do you recommend for this little mic to connect to your Pixel? Mine is apparently faulty. Thanks so much!

Depends on which Pixel you're using, if it doesn't have a headphone jack you'll need a USBC to headphone jack port (trrs) for this to work
