Thanks for the video! I would like to learn about expenses made outside of the Netherlands. For example, if I go abroad for a business trip to France, how can I deduct VAT for transportation and business meetings (cafes, restaurants).

Generally you claim your VAT refund from the country where it is paid. So VAT paid in France cannot be claimed from Dutch tax authority

This video was super helpful! I just registered my business in Jan this year, and on my Belastingdienst letter declaration period it says: no declaration is issued. I also don't see any VAT return pending on my Tax Business profile. So I'm confused, does this mean I don't have to do a return this quarter? I appreciate your help! Thanks, and great videos, I love your channel!

Usually you have to file a VAT return even if you have made no sales or whatsoever. Then you put in 0 in the VAT costs. But make sure you do it before 30th of April.

How about work clothes costs etc, you can write off only the 21% or whole cost?.. i know probably 21% but i read some info so i need to confirm
