Thank you for the helpful video! I moved to the Netherlands on 1 June 2023, and have been employed since my arrival date. In the M-form, I have only filled out my income for the period that I have been in the Netherlands (which seems to be what you mentioned in the video), is this correct? If not, would the currency conversion for prior foreign income be based on the exchange rate at 01/01/2023 or at the time of filing?

Hello, I was working in NL and left my job in between 2023 and moved back to my country. Do I need to fill form M since I paid tax in NL for 6months during 2023. FYI, I was also getting the benefits of 30% rulling.

Hi! In the year that you moved to or moved out the Netherlands - you have to submit a M-form. In your case you have the obligation to submit your M-form for 2023 and next to your annual income, you should also state your migration date.

Heyy, so I'm an expat who was half the year in my home country and other half in the Netherlands, and submitted an income tax return that might have been the wrong one for me because I didn't see the other option at first (the one for tax payers who lived outside of the Netherlands for part of the year)😅Now I still have the chance the submit the right one, so do you think that if I do it, things will be corrected? I have it filled in, and I have all the documents needed to prove the values and travels I did (haven't sent this one yet though)

Hi! I started working in NL on 6/10/2023 but only registered on the 01/01/2024. I worked for 3 months in NL in 2023. Do I have to fill in the M-form? I haven't received the tax service letter. Thanks!

Hi! It depends on the circumstances, but probably a C-form (in which country where you registered before?) and an M-form in the year you where registered in the Netherlands. I do recommend giving us a call to be certain!

Hello! I lived abroad for 8 months, registered in NL for 4. Worked full year elsewhere, and paid taxes there even while in NL. No Dutch employment during those 4 months. Should I file M-form with no income? Thanks!

Hi there! I got the 30% ruling approved for the period from 01-01-2023 to 30-09-2026 (I had it from 30-09-2021, but I changed my job at the end of 2022. So new company reapplied for it). But the approval was only received in Jan 2024. Therefore, I did not receive the benefit of the 30% ruling for 2023 yet. My company told me to claim it in the filing of the tax return for 2023. How do I do this? Can you help me out in this case?

hi, i don't qualify as a tax payer in m-form after giving my numbers starting from july 2024. I already filed a wrong tax form by mistake so gotta send the M version with my husband. my husband and I also moved 2 weeks apart and registered in different dates. When we select we lived all year together there is an error regarding our migration dates being different. however, we lived together only I moved first. Can you please help?

Hi, you can only file a joint declaration if the migration date is the same, so you will have to file a separate declaration for this year. From 2024 you can file a joint declaration.
