Hello thank yiu for all the great info. I have a question that you may know the answer to. I recently formed a LLC for my Home Inspection business. Since California doesn't require a certificate ti be a home inspector, but i am going to get certified do i need a regular LLC or a professional LLC for my business. Thanks in advance.

Well you can try a virtual mailbox or even a co-working space to get an address -- they work for many things (but not everything, like for a seller's permit)

I APPRECIATE this video So So Much!... Thank you! Is it possible for you to do a "How to" video on forming my own LLC (S.corp taxed) Holding company (Single Member)? Like the step by step instructions on what to do... DIY approach if someone can't find the right fit with an attorney.

Your videos are super helpful. Thanks. Since you are mentioning professional corporation (those require license and permits), I am wondering if general construction corporation (requires contractor license) is belonging to the regular "General Stock" corp or "Professional" Corp? Thanks

In California, there is currently a special law for licensed contractors so you don't have to follow the professional corporation rule, you can even have an LLC. Always good though to check with your licensing board, they should know the rules for your license

Yes the SOI addresses can all be the same address. For the registered agent, they'd want that to be a street address.

oh my god, thanks for your video, I have formed my LLC back in Aug 9th 2022, and I am already late for this statement of information filing, hope there is not other penalty on my account, and thanks for your video that guide me through the whole time, I was completely no idea where to file it. the reason Why I will look for it was because B.A.R. asking for it, then I know something I must have been missed.

There may be a penalty, but you can try to get a waiver www.sos.ca.gov/business-programs/business-entities/filing-tips/email-penaltywaivers just make sure to get the SOI files as soon as you can

Yes, the last time I checked, the LLC needs to be accepted by them before the system will let you do the SOI

Yeah right now you won't be able to file the SOI in the bizfile system until the business is accepted
