How to fiberglass speaker boxes and other shapes. (1 of 3) ( Subwoofer box )
This is our first video of a 2 part series. In this video we go over the basic setup and shaping of an enclosure that shows how we get it to the stage people get a visual on. This was made in about 30 minutes but it will teach you the basics. Please use MDF or Birch Plywood and not the OSB , this was just a DEMO of how it is done.

I now have links to the resin product I use in the description of the video.
Forget the haters. This video changed my life, thank you sir
Great vid...you have so much to offer...thanks for sharing
Now that OSB is worth its weight in gold, you can make some major profits off that setup.
Watching this whole series, good stuff thanks!
I had no idea that fabric was used in this process. It's a good thing Shane had some left over. lol Too funny!
If your camera has a mic input, I'd suggest a Rode Mic or a wireless lav mic. Good video. Cheers
after 2 minutes of hearing about osb ...I almost stopped the video...actually said out loud "we get it...you normally wouldn't use osb...get on with it"!
Dude thank you for this video !
How do you know what the box is tuned to with a seemingly arbitrary port setup? The materials, port size, length, shape, etc all contribute greatly to the sound the enclosure makes.
So you can basically use most any material that can stretch? I've seen others use a kids blanket.
I'm thinking of making them with 3 sub woofers inside the trunk and some 6x9's in doors an tweeter s on front next to windshield then be sick to put in my ford with neon light to run with stereo
So what is the fabric you use for wrapping called?
hello there. what type of cloth are you using? any other alternatives?
what kind of fabric do you use? fleece fabric?
So would you typically use that OSB or would you recommend a different material?
I was high when I watched this. About every 2 minutes I kept trying to turn the volume up. No luck.
Aren’t you supposed to use 3/4” MDF for subwoofer boxes? I see some people use plywood. What’s the difference?
You didnt by chance go to R.I.T.O.P. in Boston ? I learned to to this exactly like this there. A long time ago that is.
I'd never use osb for subfloors. some do but I will not. it's ok for wall sheathing but only ok.
