I have pressure fermented 10 batches already at 30 psi at room temp with the All Rounder and LalBrew® Diamond Lager Yeast - Lallemand. The yeast is crazy. I go from 1.050 to 1.0004 in 4 days! I throw the Allrounder in the refrigerator and drink directly from it until it is gone. No playing with sugar, bottles or carbonating, just drinking! It tastes great all the way until I start sucking up the yeast. The problem is I have to go 1 week in between batches with no beer and this is no good. Now I bought three $40 used 5 gal corny kegs and floating dip tubes. My kettle only holds 10 gal, but I will mash and boil as much grain as I can to get 8.25 gals of wort. This will require adding boiling water at the end to get down to 1.050 and 8.25 gal in the kettle. Then I will split the 8 gal between 2 corny kegs, ferment and then refrigerate. When one keg is empty, I will make a new batch. That is why I bought 3 corny kegs. No more beerless days for me. The All Rounder is showing signs of wear and small hairline cracks. Also, I don't like playing with the lid, some leak problems or opening it for dry hopping. Conry kegs are easier and will last a lifetime. This got a little long, but maybe someone will find something useful. I enjoy your videos!

Can go one step further saving money on gas (assuming no one else has said already) Go gas Post to gas Post from fermenting keg to serving keg - also put the sounding valve on the serving keg instead! Great video. Watched it 3 times. I have an All Rounder on order but they are out of stock, so I will use my corny kegs for my first attempt at pressurized ferm, as you describe, to get my Mexican Lager done by July 4th. I have a Czech Pilsner in my fermenting chamber eating up space and time (takes too long). Ales and IPAs seem so much easier and quicker but some of my friends don't appreciate them. Keezer will be full up and diverse if your Corny keg pressurized ferm works for me. Thanks for the info and entertaining videos.

Have you ever tried natural carbonization in a korny keg? The idea came to me earlier, 1 I have extra kegs, 2 my kegerator is taking too much time, and too much co2 to carbonate, and 3 Im limited on when I can brew since I have to keep beer in my fermenters until I can keg it and get it in the kegerator. Im thinking about making a simple syrup out of dme or lme instead of dextrose to put into the kegs just before the beer goes in, then let it sit a week or 2 before going to the kegerator.

Brajlord! Been having trouble sealing main Corney o-ring on travel Torpedo keg. I pull from 5G keg to fill 1.5G Torpedo Corney (for easy transport and no bottling mess). Even with lube and new main seal, the main O-ring seals at higher pressures 25spi but won't maintain seal when i bleed it off to charge with C02 cartridges at low Pressure. Are you aware on any softer Corney Main O-rings that may be softer or provide an easier seal than the STD black ones???

Great video!! Novice question. When transferring from fermenter keg to serving keg, does the psi from serving keg need to be lower? For example, Fermentation keg is 10psi, serving keg is 5 psi. I connect CO2 to fermentation keg and push beer out at 10psi. Does that make sense ?

I realized that if I am force carbing at like 30 psi, when I turn the regulator down the exxcess pressure comes out of the hole in the regulator.... which got me thinking... since my co2 tank is external from my fridge and it already has an extra gas connect on the outside I use for various reasons. if I have a beer fermenting in a keg I can hook it up to my fridge co2 regulator and the fermentation ressure will remain at 10-11 PSI. basically using my co2 regulator for 2 purposes. keeping my beer carbed and under serving pressure and keeping my keg that is fermenting carbed and under pressure???

Thank you for caring so much for the home brewing community and keeping home brewing fun! I do have a question for you. After you finish transferring all your beer to the serving how do you disconnect that "jumper cable" without getting beer everywhere? I unplugged the gas from the fermenting keg, tried taking off the jumper cable and beer sprayed everywhere. Oxygen free? Yup. Mess free? Nope lol. How do you disconnect the jumper cable without creating a giant mess?

I know it's a little bit of an older video, but if I wanted to brew a beer that doesn't do well with fermenting under pressure, would I be able to set the spunding valve to like 3-5 psi and not have an issue?

With this process, why would I mess with bucket fermenters ever again? I'm just past my first anniversary of brewing beer, but I have collected a few extra corny kegs, this seems to be far easier than messing with buckets that wear out. And how much head space? 5 gallon corny keg can hold 4.5 gallons for pressure fermenting?

First of all, let me say that I enjoy your videos because they are not only informative, but they are also wildly entertaining. Now for the dumb question…how do I graduate from buying recipe kits (like craft-a-brew or Brewers Best) to buying my own stuff (hopefully cheaper)? Do I just do a bunch of reading and experiment? And where do I get the stuff…do most brew supply stores have what I need? So far I’ve made several 1-5 gallon batches from kits and all have turned out pretty well. I have a couple of corny kegs and I’ve done both gravity and pressure fermentations. Looking to learn more and branch out, but where do I start?

Quick question, when you set the regulator to 10 PSI, do you have to manually release the pressure once it gets over that, or does it release automatically? Btw, I got the same spunding valve as you on Amazon. Thanks braj!

To anyone who is a little smarter than me (because you came to read the comments and didn't just watch this video on 1.5x speed, get the gist then send it) THE SPUNDING VALVE GOES ON THE IN POST. aka the GAS post. If you put it on the out post like I did, that's a great way to spout a few gallons of fermenting wort out of your corny keg to get sopped up by your carpet.
