My life is a spirit. All the people I meet are my mirrors of some kind. The main thing is to keep a deep connection with myself, not with my mind, but deeper. Everything else will work out in a right way.

So needed to hear these wise words. My recent dating life made me feel cursed. (My last date gave me Covid & then ghosted me. ) I was a hard core hermit 2020- 2022 & live a lone, so my confidence was dragged through the mud when I decided to date again. So this year, was me trying to slowly come back to life. Sincerely looking for some tenderness, friendship, & more. I pray these last days of '23 be kind & the new year be much kinder.

You are amazing Mat...ur wife is so blessed to have u. A mindset I've had recently is "if it doesn't work out with this person then they must not be the one God sent to me/my person".

Very good video, even OUTSIDE the context of romantic relationships. For me (happily single) this is directly applicable to wanting colleagues to like you, wanting to make new friends and so on! Thanks. Very helpful and super graspable with the tangible examples🥰

Thank you Matt Boggs. These mindsets are all superb and they have actually worked for me in time past and at all times. These mindsets doesn't just apply to romantic relationships they also apply when you're aimed at building 'true' friendships.

You are so right on with your counsel. I had to let go of a relationship that was not working, that was not a good fit and then go back out there and be open again before the right guy came into my orbit. He's more compatible, we share common values, have great conversation, and I can be in my own skin when I am with him. Keep up the great work you do!!

Hey, Matt. I know you believe some things which are not strictly in the realm of relational psychology... like this idea of everything conspiring to bring two people together, and the phrase "If it's meant to be". My feedback is this: by referring to those ideas, you immediately alienate all the people who don't share those beliefs. I don't think there is a Fate or destiny organizing my life to bring a certain person to me. I might suggest that if you replace the term "if it's meant to be" with "if you're really right for each other". That removes the need to believe in something being "meant to be", which is mystical and not a thing some people can sign up to in their minds. As for "things conspiring to bring the two of you together", that could be more neutrally expressed by saying something like "if you look backwards from the future in which you're in a wonderful relationship, it will seem as though things arranged themselves so that you had to meet". .. but honestly I think your videos could appeal to more people if you leave out the whole fatalistic philosophy bit. It rings pretty false to anyone who has ever seen a friend have a series of not-great relationships and then end up alone in old age, and die alone. Where was that person's soul-mate? Too busy to drop in and say hi? Not all of us believe that there is someone being shepherded towards us by an interventionist and benevolent universe... that concept feels like bulls^it to someone who has been in abusive relationships which looked and felt mystically aligned, which operated exactly as "soul-mate" connections are meant to.Anyway, just some feedback about a detail. The rest of it is really great, and thank you so much.

I haven't got a shred of confidence so don't have a clue. I'm trying to raise my standards but never get treated with respect.
