I always embraced the idea of the "third piece" without being conscious of it -- scarves! Working in a cold office, it was a necessity but also became my 'signature' look. A great fitting jacket also works wonders!

I was struck by seeing those lit & comfortable dresses ideas. There were such a marvelous pieces for me. As I have previously remarked, so inspirational and am delighted. I just wannid to say the explanation was so coherent.

I love that you described the "third piece" as a hero piece. I'm not a very "fussy" dresser (i.e. I'm probably practical to a fault). So while I love style and to express myself through clothes, sometimes my outfits have felt a bit lackluster to me because I didn't layer/wear a hat/wear a ton of jewelry, etc. to get that "third piece." But now I try to have more "hero" pieces--a really cool bag, a pair of statement earrings, a really interesting pair of shoes, etc. It makes me feel more stylish and put together :)

This is the kind of content that beings me confidence and joy! From the first ever video I ever saw of you... Please keep doing what you're doing... What you said in the end is my biggest take away from this-my 25 year old self, is only gonna be 25 for this small while... So why not dress up in a way that I can pull off without being shy... 🌼

Definitely my favorite video of yours to date! I wish I had learned these things as a teenager when beginning developing my style. These are fantastic tips, especially the texture and juxtaposition. This was so helpful, insightful, and inspiring.

I am not ordinarily a YT commenter but I do wish to say I discovered this channel and after seeing many of Bethanys videos these are the most inspiring and impactful fashion vlogs I have yet to come across. Spent the weekend enamored in the overall style reviewed here. Just arrived home spending a Sunday finding additional key pieces that include linen pieces that will fit into what I already have. My wardrobe feels alive and invigorated and because of these videos discovered a style that I love but did not yet quite know how to incorporate. It’s the philosophy of investing in quality vs quantity. I found that that buying cheap clothes ends up being more expensive because of their durability.
