Just a heads up, you don't actually have to leave the screen for Draw points to refill. They refill based on a certain amount of steps taken, not time passed or screens ventured. So you can draw from a point then pace around said draw point on the exact same screen until you see it visibly turn back to purple from white. The only time i'm aware of where this wont work is with Draw points that turn blue upon use. Which means they cannot be refilled.

I don’t know if it’s a glitch but I’ve been getting x13 draws consistently by using chocobo to run round to refill. Save & exit (reset) b4 draw.

Just saw this video after doing the exact same that you did lol. Just want to say though, you don’t have to run round Shumi quite as long as you did, I ran round it ten times and mostly it had restocked, I’m thinking there may be some kind of variant to how many steps are needed because sometimes it was only after 5 laps, other times it was 25, but what I would say is just jump in every 5 laps to see

Along With Ultima On Disc 2, You Can FARM "Meteor" On Disc 2 As Well, So You Can Have A Magic For Both HP AND STR. Simply Get Tonberry(Our Next GF) As He Has LV Up. A Lot Of People Don't Realize This, But You Can Encounter "Ruby Dragons" On Disc 2, In The Forests Near The Orphanage(I Use The Larger Forests Near The Chocobo's Forest Near There). LV Them Up Above 30+ And There You Go, You Can Draw Meteor(And Flare) Off Them! If Your Worried About Ruby Dragon "Annihilating" You With "Breath", Simply Have At Least "One" Character Downed In Battle. This Trick Also Works For Many Other Spells You Can Draw A Little Early On, Such As: Drain: Red Bats Pain: Ochus Quake: T-Rexaur Any ELEM-AGA Spells Off Various Enemies

You could if you have the ragnarok while waiting for it to reatock go to the island closest to hell their is around 6 ultima draw points on that island. Tou will need the move find gf skill though to find hidden draw points but mix that with encounter none and tour golden

How do you get past area 51 guards on disc 2?

I now routinely travel to the island closest to hell and go all over with no encounters on and get the hidden draw points. Then I go to island closest to Heaven and walk around and get the good hidden magic draw points there. Then back to shumi village ultimas and i do the SeeD tests to keep salary decent.

There's a spot in esthar that you can fight against atronger version of elvoret, i usually farm ultima there by obtaining pulse ammo from that monster😉

Idk if this is bc I play on the switch. But the ultimate draw point refreshes while I'm in the building

I just went to The island closest to Hell/Heaven. There are a tone of Ultima draw points on those islands. And refine Ultima stones.

I found out how to guarantee a pull of 13 every single time! The method I used was to set a 3 minute timer and to run around Shumi Village on 3x speed until the time is up. After that, save your game right outside of the entrance. Exit the game. Reload your save. As soon as it loads, run directly to where the draw point is located and immediately talk to the guy in the middle. I think talking to the others might affect the rng, but I haven’t tested it. Pay the 5000 and draw. It should be 13 now and every single time you repeat this method. I maxed out all of my characters in under 3 hours doing this. According to my calculations, pulling 13 every 4 minutes or so, you should be able to max all 6 characters from scratch in 2 hours and 40 minutes. I repeated this method over and over and over again and I drew 13 every single time.

@@05DarkSaint You're either spreading misinformation, or you're not being specific enough about your process. Like what character is drawing the magic, where you're at in the game, etc. If any of that information is even of importance and makes a difference. Did it your way and the draw point gives you exactly 11 ultimas with entering card screen and exiting. Same 11 ultimas if you card battle and win. If you ask for a card battle and say no(without going into card screen), you get 10 ultimas. If you simply exit the game and reload it, like the other guy says, then you get 13 ultimas. His way does what it says it does. Your way does not.

I was just farming this. The most speedy way, is to turn on 3x and to run around in the same screen as the draw point. It'll turn back to pink and immediately draw again. It usually restocked anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute for me. RNG dictates how much Ultima you get per time. Hard reset probably yields greater chance of a higher number per draw but its tedious and you have to go through many screens. Plus you get a SeeD salary pretty much everytime the draw point is restocked, so you dont even lose money :)

Rickai85 You’re wrong You will start to lose money. You have to fight at least 10 battles from your last payment. If you keep on doing the method that you had suggested without fighting you will eventually start to lose your seed rank.

Fuzz i do want to point out that for main story your gunna want zell and he will be added to party wen you get to balaum but worry bout it wen you get back have fun on your holiday

Once the draw point is fully replenished, you can save and quit on the world map (reset RNG). Go in and challenge and refuse the middle Shumi 5 times. Then speak to him, and speak to him and say yes to the draw point. Then draw 15 ultimas. This works every time for me and Rinoa has 172 magic stat.

did you guys know that in disk 3 in esther after Lunatic Pandora, etc, in esther city, there is a man in black that you go up to and talk to, and he turns into an Enolyle? and he drops energy crystals each time. it's fixed so whenever you leave the screen and come back he is there again, and you can keep going up to him making him change into the monster and kill him and get more energy crystals? try it sometimes after you get the Ragnorak. this strategy is just a waste of time LOL. my characters now have max strength and max hit. i wanna get max vit too since vit determines the amount of physical damage taken

apocalypse magic is one of the best, However don't know if there is a draw point for it or etc. Only place I know of is boss of the game you can cast it off her.

The draw point on the library never got refilled again.

Some draw points are one time only.

Better to go to the island closest to hell, turn encounters off, then spam A button to find all hidden draw points. Draw points on the island include Meteor, full life, triple, ultima, holy, and Aurora.

This is at the beginning of Disc 2. You are referring to a place mid Disc 3. And at that point it is actually a garbage place because as soon as you get Ragnarok you can go get Bahamut and Eden and after that you can trivially refine massive amounts of Ultima.

The method in this video is spot on! I got tired of only drawing 1. Save your game outside of the village. 2. Go into the village and draw Ultima. 3. If you get a number 6. Once you get a decent Ultima draw - exit the village and save your game. 7. Outside of the village run around (at 3x speed) for about three minutes. I was able to do laps outside the city holding the analog stick in the 1:30 position. I passed the time watching a few YT videos. 8. After running for three minutes - save, do a hard reset and reload your save 9. Go back into the village and draw Ultima. It should be the same amount you drew the last time. 10. repeat steps 7-9 I was able to draw 13 Ultima every time by using this method. I think the key is saving and then reloading your game every time.

When junctioning Ultima on HP .... "It's alive. It's alive! IT's ALIVE!!!"

If somebody wants to stock up on cash without the salary, you can go into Esthar, fight Mesmerizes, mug them for their blades, refine each into two X-Potions, each potion is worth 2.5k. Or, since this video is about disk 2, refine the mesmerize cards into blades and then convert.

better yet, spam play cards with Cid or someone early on who plays bigs+wedge card. Every 1=1 x-potion straight up, and they're fairly easy to do so this way.

How did you get Holy?

Another tip. If you’re doing this after getting the Ragnorak: 1. draw from the shumi village point 2. draw from all of the points on ICT hell 3. draw from all of the points on ICT heaven. 4. repeat. By the time you get to each draw point they should all be refreshed. Good for getting high level magic, while combining with the magic mining trophy for platinum.

I was farming for curse spike for ultima but then i got so much money... i was like f this im buying ultima in shumi village... i get 13 per draw. Everytime i get payed via seed 3 times ultima refill... i save then exit load then i get 13 again

took me an hour and 30 minutes to get 3 of my characters to have 100 ultimas each using the Shumi village draw point.

IDK. The more I play the low level way the more I get uninterested. It doesn't feel like I'm actually playing the game. just running and carding everything. Does it actually affect anything in gameplay besides making it harder? This game is too easy doing low level. To be honest it is annoying. Any insight would help

the funny thing is you cant go there in disc4, so if you didnt got ultima before you're fucked. What a great game

I got the Rank A and I did all the test questions but how do you keep it up above when the rank drops down when your not doing anything? Is there a way to rank it back up when it drops or no?

Ultima for junction magic and full life for spirit . Vit meldown , str = eden card , hp = meteor and hp bonus

Simply easier playing cards and beat others, or weaken enemies and turn them into cards.

The original game had 4 Discs. This is mid Disc 2. All the guides today still have the appropriate division per Disc despite them not existing in the Remaster.

Magic has no impact on draw points they are completely random. The only thing that dictates it is the state of the draw point either empty, semi full, or full.

IIRC the MAG stat has no impact when drawing from Draw Points, It's completely random.

My magic stats at 180+ for Squall and he keeps drawing 5 to 7 Ultimas and won't draw higher

Somebody said this in another comment: "If you start noticing that you're getting the same low value no matter how many times you reload it might indicate some RNG weirdness is happening. I would recommend reloading your save and then running around for a minute or too outside the village or maybe get in a few enemy encounters. "

Not to mention, there's a trophy for climbing the ranks on the SeeD test. So you're killing 2 birds with one stone by using the test as a means to make money. I typically take the test and max out my SeeD rank as soon as I can. Then later use the funds on disc 4 via the Call Shop ability after visiting every store in Esthar during the previous disc to gain easy access to high-end valuable items like Elixirs and Remedies.

So there is actually a very consistent way to manipulate this RNG, I have discovered, while I was getting my 300 Ultimas here. I noticed that every time I was unsatisfied with the amount I drew and exited to reload, regardless of who drew the spells, they always received 13 as long as I saved right outside of town (no more than 2-3 steps to reenter) and went straight to the center shumi without taking to the other 2 on accident. Then, after timing a couple runs, you can run around that same screen continuously for just over 60 seconds and the draw point will be fully recharged. Leave, save again on the world map, and exit. Reload the file and repeat, and you will be blessed with another 13 spells, every time!

I should mention this was done with the remaster's x3 buff. The only thing that should change if you are not using it is the amount of time you need to run. Since the counter for refilling draw points is based on steps, it will take about 3 minutes (instead of 1) to fully recharge the draw point before you can leave town and save. Also, after further experimenting, very little has an effect on the draw RNG, so you can actually take as much or as little time as you want to get from the world map to the draw point and accidentally talking to either of the shumis to the side will not change it either!

Also, as far as the run time is concerned, the breakdown is about 2/3. With x3 active, your 60 seconds of continuous running should cause the DP to slightly refill at about 38-40 seconds; once it is purple again, count out around 20-23 seconds of continuous running and you will see it switch to the full-charge purple glow. Without x3, it should turn purple around the 2-minute mark, and fully charged at 3! Hope that helps someone out there!

I also just find out that this method also works to get Holy spells from the White SeeD ship early on disc 3, using Move-Find to save on the deck of the ship! (That is, if you don't want to farm 30 Krysta cards on disc 1/2...)

@@whiteeeveeangel Krysta is so easy though lol. Like EASY. The only spell I have had trouble farming is Full-LIfe but that's because I don't want to mod the card that gives those. I'm talking about the character card, the rest I got from Chimeras both in battle and in-mini-game. (carding them of course) (I'm beginning of disk 3 RN, with 2 characters 100 FL and the other like 20. (idc about all 6, why bother, just switch magic using the switch system)

How to guarantee 15 per Draw: Run around until you get the Seed payment 2 times. Then save the game, exit game, and reload your save file. Go inside and challenge the Shumi to a gard game and accept. Dont play him but quit out the game. Then draw. Enjoy the 15 every time 😁😁

You Can Also Reach The Centra Continent Where Tonberry And Odin(And Ruby Dragons In The Forests Close To Edea's House) Await. It's 6-15 and completely random. The magic stat only counts for in battle draws which cap out at 9. If it's not fully purple/pink it can only be like 3-5 or 3-8 something like that.

I don’t rate this strat. It’s a good strat. But farming triple off of Odin is quicker and easier. You can then farm Ultima Weapon in disc 3 for 300 ultimas. Triple will be just as good until Omega. You only need 255 str of Omega.

Odin messes up Angelo Search big time . So it's best if you're actually trying for OP to just wait . If you want triples they are easiest taken from Cerebus and/or card modding Quistis. (way quicker)

I found out that if you pay twice you’ll get the maximum draw points which is 15 - speak to the guy and pay for it - search for the draw point, do not draw it - then speak again and pay for it - you will able to get maximum draw point But make sure the draw point is fully restored.

For ultima, just play card and take triface card and turn it into Curse spike-dark matter-100 ultima magic Or Fight triface mug curse spike from him, and turn him into a card, so you can obtain 100 Curse spike faster

Visit Odin and spam draw on Triple. 100 Triple is not 100 ultima. But it’s damn close and it’s a spell you’re going to need.

Why didn’t you just use a Chocobo there’s literally a forest right there. You take more steps with a chocobo you wasted so much unnecessary time. This is supposed to be a tutorial yet you’re not using the best options. It takes about 40-60 seconds with a Chocobo to refill it using the speed boost with the remake.
