I’ve been doing my own fades for about a year now. What a money saver experience! I do 1/2, 1, 1.5 and 2 guards. I open and close the blade as needed. The top I can do scissors or guard 8 to style the top a bit with cremo hair pomade 👍😁👌 I cut my own hair every two weeks and it only takes me about 25 minutes and I’m saving myself at least $60 a month!
