You have the best tutorial on how to splice a rope with the colour coded instruction ever seen on on KZread. It make the knowledge learning instantly and correctly to where each strand of rope goes to intertwined. This is how a tutorial should be especially for layman like us.
This is the easiest to understand tutorial on eye slicing that I've found on KZread. Thank you so much for sharing!!!!

Absolutely agree. I was beginning to feel seriously slow-witted after watching other videos and still not getting it 🙂
Watched several on how to eye splice and couldn't get it until i saw this one! thanks for the simplicity!
This by far the best splicing video I've found. I've watched probably 20 so far trying to get this. As soon as you put the red one through the rope I immediately knew what I've been doing wrong. Thank you.
Glad I found this video. Colours made all the difference. So easy. Thank you.
I watched several tutorials and spent hours trying to follow the instructions without success. This video simplified the steps, made them intuitive, and within 5 minutes, I FINALLY achieved a perfect eye splice! THANK YOU!
You are excellent in taping each strand with different colour. You are the best demonstrator. Best of all.
Best tutorial I've seen. The coloured bits help at lot but MOSTLY other tutes talk about center strand, left and right but you just picked any and TURNED the rope around to go under the next bit! GREAT explanation!

Same fo me !!! Everyone is talking about starting with the middle strand ... witch is not helping at all ...
This is by far the best explanation to teach this splice...i just went and looked at 10 other videos..by far the best ...thank you.
First eye splice video (I have seen several) that I can realistically consider giving a thumbs up. The color coded strands were a real help.
I love the colors. I leave one strand natural and wrap the tips of the other two with black and white electrical tape as an easy reference
Best eye splice tutorial I've seen. And I've seen a bunch! Good job.
Thanks for color coding the strands. It is easier to follow that way. You made it easier to understand.
Thank you Sir for taking the time with the colored tape. That was, what my brain needed. I got it now.
The different colors on the strands help a lot. Thank you very much!!
Very good tutorial brother, clear, precise instructions, and easy to follow, especially with the color coded lines- thank you! What a great skill to add to one's knotting arsenal.

Agree. Easiest instruction I've seen on an eye splice.
This is the only tutorial that took me to the finish line. Thank You!!!
I've been trying to understand this for a while and I'm glad I found your video. Color coded strands and rotating the work as you did make a huge difference in understanding the eye splice. Thank you.
using the different colours really helps. Thanks
Old video that still does a great job of explaining the eye splice - great job, thank you. (9/6/2022)
Really a good starter video to figure out how to get the pattern started. I don't use tape at all, I use heat shrink and at the ends, I leave it a little long so it shrinks down to form a point so it's easier to weave it through. With tape, it always wants to push apart and make it harder to weave. Keep up the great work.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Heat shrink tubing would be great too, thanks for the kind words! ~ Bryan
I have crab fished for years. This is very well explained, awesome tutorial! A good thing to do when your done is step on it and roll it with your foot!
Great instruction, easy to follow with all the strands colooured. Thank You.
I have braided hair forever and knew I could braid a stinking rope but I had to make sure I did it correctly. After watching several very confusing videos and coming up short, I ran into this one and am so glad I did. It worked for me and the colors helped a lot. Thanks, now my granddaughter can swing with confidence!!

Well... it's not QUITE the same as braiding, but a close relative, I guess...
Can only add to other comments, this is the number one tutorial on how to do this.
Thank you so much! I was in deep pain trying to follow other videos on this topic. This one is brilliant!

Me too!
thank you so much watching from Alaminos City Pangasinan Ph.
Finally got it after many videos! Colored tape excellent help. Very well explained.
Brilliant. I think the turning over of the rope as each strand was threaded was the key to me being able to understand the technique . Thank you.
Best eye splice tutorial ever. Thank you very much.
I have struggled to learn eye splicing after being taught several times. After watching this video it's like the whole thing felt so simple. I just practiced it and it turned out beautiful. Thank you
Thanks! I had to put an eye splice in a rope for pulling electrical wire and your video really helped me out!
Awesome footage. You made it so easy to understand. Thank you.
Excellent explanation, so clear and with some great visual aids to make the process very easy to absorb. Good job!
That’s the best explanation that I’ve seen on this. Color coding the rope was great!!!! Thanks
FINALLY!!! a video where I can actually see what is happening without the hands getting in the way! Thank You VERY much. It helped a bunch to see the colors going through the rope. Several other tutorials start out with middle , right, left and then switch to top, middle, bottom in the middle of explaining the splice. I was really getting frustrated.
I have seen a few videos a couple years ago. Just subscribed and look forward to much more awesome content. But dang man, you've been hittin' those weights, eh? Thanks for taking the time to share all that you do, Bryan!
Best splicing instruction so far...
Thanks for the explanation. I never could understand this from the books.
Brilliant video , after nearly giving up after watching others this is the easiest to follow thank you
Thank you so much ! this is the best video i saw, it makes it very easy with the different colors ! great job :)
That's the clearest tutorial I've seen, many thanks.
Just as others have commented, this was so clear an explanation/demonstration. Other videos left me confused and frustrated for hours and now In 5 minutes I get it, thanks from a new subscriber!
The best demo around thanks for your weekly knots
BY far the best splicing video. Other people were using words like left and right and changing to top and bottom. Thanks so much
thx, excellent tutorial. i just did mine. super easy following your guide and looks great. i did a harder tuck after every 3 inserts ( like before restarting every cycle), it does looks more uniform and compact.
This was amazing! I've always been mystified by this skill, but the way you explained it, with the colours and all, simplified it by MAGNITUDES. I'm actually confident that If I watch this two more times I can do it. The only thing you didn't mention though is how much of the rope to run out before you start splicing, or how strong the splice is when you're done.
thankyou so much the over under and colours helped so much!!!
Done it!! Cheers mate. Not easy as it was old poly rope 1 1/4" thick. Didn't want to separate! But done my first eye splice now. Tow rope ready
Thank you!! Saving your video to my favourites.. just spliced a nice lead for my dog. Fenders will follow! ⛵️
Great Instructor. Thank you Sir for sharing your knowledge. God always with us.
Great instructions. Very easy to understand. Probably the best video in eye splicing. Other people from other vids make the instructions confusing.

A lot of knotting/splicing videos use rope of the same colour- easy for the presenter to use but the needs of beginners are ignored.
Best eye splice video out there, thanks for posting
Thank you from Greece
Excellent video! Big help!
The best Eye Splice tutorial.. Thanks
Great tutorial sir. Greetings from Scotland

Obrigado, pela demonstração desta maneira ficou bem simples. Great your explanation.
Best ever. Glad my scoutmaster had me use this.
Wow, that was far easier than I had anticipated.
Thanks - helped me with my first ever splice. On my way to making a bridle for anchoring.
Colors, that was the key, Thank you!
this vid alone as got you another subscriber.
Thank you , this is the best tutorial
Excelente explicación, la mejor de todas.
nice, very nice... best demo yet! many thanks
Omg the easiest video to learn how to eye splice 😱😱
very good. now I understand different colors did it
nice and simple, good job.
Well that's made a simple task ridiculously easy. I actually felt the penny drop on the third insert. everyone else I've seen works sideways and then, after two strands says, "now for the hardest step" while changing hands and rotating the work like a three card trick. You hold the rope vertical and repeat the same action three times while rotating the rope clockwise. Reset by rotating anti clock and repeat. I don't know how I (or they) managed to complicate things - but now I'm fixed. Many thanks!
Wow..it now looks like a simple knot..grwat demo..thx
is it safe to use the splice with the tape? or should that just be used for demonstration/learning?
VERY GOOD INSTRUCTIONS !!
Great vid! You guys do the best!
So beautiful red, blue, yellow
GOT IT!!!! Thanks. If I could give you more than one thumbs up on this video I would!!!
Thank you for that vidéo, now I understand how to do this knot.
콘텐츠중 최고 이제야 이해합니다👍
Very helpful - thanks
Very easy to understand
Thanks very much, very first video where a guy like me with peat ignition gets it right away. 👍
Hey ! Thank you very much
Thank you so much . Cool
Nice tutorial 👌
Thank you for great video.I learned with this easy :) :)
Good demonstration
Nice video buddy. Thanks
Best video on splicing 👍👍👍👍👍
Genius video
Clear pattern. I wrapped each tip with scotch tape marked with a different color. Also wrapped the start points together so the loop does not twist.

And thanks for sharing your technique!
Magnifico.
Thank you!
СПАСИБО!!!
This was better than the last video I watched on the eye splice. The guys hands blocked the view of what he was doing. Good job. I have a question about older hemp ropes. Can they be reconditioned so they don't break as easily, or do they need to be replaced?
