Great video! I've been looking into the BA career as I feel I have the skills and experience to be successful but my mind keeps playing games with me saying I would not do well because I am an introvert lol. This video couldn't have come at a better time. Thank you!

What if you are an introvert who may have ADHD? They find it difficult sitting at a desk cubicle all day?

Jean, Business Analysts can be very even-keeled, but they do need a positive mindset.

I love how you took a somewhat spiritual perspective on this. I'm planning to start a career as a business analyst and I am a person who is highly introverted and kinda "woo woo" like you mentioned. 😂 when I saw the chakra poster in your room you gave me hope. Thank you so much for making me realize I can face this even while being a very introverted spiritual person. 💗💗💗

Those were really good tips. Thank you for them. Just a quick note here: it seems that the bricks are moving in the 1st half of your video (not sure if you're using chroma key or if the bricks were just painted in to some sort of fabric). Keep up the GREAT work! ;-)

Thanks for the feedback Victor. It is a backdrop and the space I had was pretty tight, so my chair kept swinging against them. I'm in a better space now and so I should be able to arrange things more effectively. Apologies for that distraction!

Slow thinking and over analysis are my major problems 😔

Were you able to reframe "slow thinking" after watching this video? This can feel like a weakness, but really it means you need time to reflect and do your best thinking. It's important to set yourself up to allow time for this in your analysis process. AND, to also be sure your analysis process supports decision-making so you keep from over-analyzing.

Laura, I'm an introvert, and I work cross-functionally on process improvement. Do u have any tips on how to improve note taking skills for introverts?

Tamika, I've often found when note-taking is an issue that I need to slow the conversation down and ask more clarifying question / reframe what's being said to ensure I understand.

Thank you Laura for the advice. Is it easier for you to take handwritten notes or typed notes? My handwriting is bad and I tend to capture everything that is said. I don't struggle nearly as much with typing. But Im still learning how to shorten my note taking (at least from what I've read online) 🙂

What do you think about working in an agile environment for an introvert?

I've worked in agile environments. Not all agile environments require constant interaction. Everyone needs time for heads down wok to be effective!

@@BridgingtheGapBA I agree! but in my workplace, there are back-to-back meetings on a daily basis and constant content switching, which depletes my energy as an introvert. Do you have any strategies? Thanks
