Additional Pro Tip. Follow her instructions exactly, but add damp old cloths (Environmentally friendly) vs baby wipes, and wash every glass you want to etch with Dawn using a mild abrasive (Scotch-Brite Stainless Steel Scrubber), really put some effort with friction [NOT MAX SCRUBBING FORCE] (No it won’t scratch decent quality glass), then proceed with her instructions. This removes any waxing or polishing from the factory (Raw Surface) [Even brighter etching]. Spreading the etching cream like icing without much pressure is the best method. ☝🏻👏🏼🤩Brushes give inconsistent patterns if not applied very quickly (“Spreading” as much as possible on the first pass as quickly you can with no breaks in application provides the most even etch.) If you do the above you will get a VERY sharp, white, and even etching. ❤ EXCELLENT TUTORIAL BTW!!!
I’m new to etching and this video is by far the best one I’ve seen. Great detailed video and explanations from start to finish!

Wanted to etch a few candle glasses but wasn't sure how to go about it. Your video is by far the most detailed, informative video. Thank you so much for explaining the process step by step for those of us who are just a babe in the forest when it comes to etching!
Okay, this is super helpful. Another video I saw said to just leave it on for 3 minutes... And that didn't seem long enough. So I'll try the full 15 minutes. Thanks so much!
You did an amazing job explaining this. I'm following along and you made it so easy for my first time etching. Very informative and detailed video. Keep up the great work.
Good vid. Watch a few others, I like your very thorough, not drawn-out directions with tips! Thank you so much!
About to do an etching design with Craftsman Crate and I am very excited! Appreciate this video with the clear instructions.

I have always liked this process, but like everything, I am intimidated to try it. Your tutorial is very well explanatory and simple. Thank you for the time you take doing it for us. I personally appreciate it very much.

im using the same etch cream and the directions on it says 3 minutes not 15, but I won't argue with your results. Looks great.
Thank you for the help!
The etching cream contains very dangerous chemicals. It's is absolutely required that you wear nitrile gloves for protection. Do NOT touch with your bare skin at all, ever. Also, you should wear safety glasses and a respirator. It can cause permanent damage to your skin and airway.
I love to do etching. It's great that your carrying the product on line. Thanks for sharing

I loved this video but in the instructions that I got from the armour etch it says 1 and 5 min for leaving the cream on. My results were also some blotchiness. Love the baby wipe idea. Now if i can just got my vinyl on without or bubbles in a centerish way thatd be great
Thank you! For being so detailed! You helped me stain my bridesmaids glasses! I messed up on 2 so far. I have all the groomsmen glasses left to do. Any tips on getting the bubbles out from the cuts I have to make due to the round glass?
Smart idea to use the baby wipes!
Thank you so much for this video. Can I use permanent vinyl as the stencil? Or would it be better if I use removable vinyl?
Love this video. I am working on table numbers for my daughter's wedding but wanted to do a test run on something else before starting on those. Question. I don't have baby wipes but do have Antibacterial wipes. Any reason for not using those?
I did my first etching this past weekend and it came out great! But I wish I would have watched some KZread videos first for some tips. Your tips and tricks are so helpful and I will be using them on my next one. Now just to find a good way to hold glass still.

Etching is one of my favorite crafts! I bet you'll love it!
So you can use permanent vinyl and can you share which video shows how you did the stencil for the glass? It turned out beautiful!
Completely random question here - I've heard that etching glass will help liquid rubber to stick better - I'm building a 1/2 land and 1/2 water aquarium with stones glued together as a divider, planning to use liquid rubber to make the division waterproof, but want to ensure that it will seal at the bottom to the glass. Anyway - do you think it'll help?
I wish I would have watched this video before I did my etching. I used masking tape and make a complicated stencil. The stencil turned out ok, but I followed the directions on the bottle of etching cream and it came out very light and unnoticeable. The stencil probably would have been easier to make with vinyl as well.
Great video. What font did you use? Also, what size did you make did you make your stencil.
Can you use removable vinyl instead of permanent?
I am replacing a shower window. Frosted glass increases the cost $300. HMM...as a chemist I thought no I'll etch it myself. Noice video.
Is there a way to remove it in case of any mistakes made?
Hi! I'm new to the channel. I am trying etching for the first time today so thank you for the tutorial. My question is actually about the transfer tape though, what kind of transfer tape do you use?
Can this etching product be used on acrylic sheeting(perspex) or acrylic mirror?
I’m facing a couple of challenges. I tried permanent, removable, stencil vinyl (all the brands that were available) and Smart Flexible vinyl. I tried using both regular transfer tape and strong grip but can’t seem to get the image to stay on the glass. I’m burnishing like crazy but it lifts up on the transfer tape. Any suggestions? TIA
for some reason the Etching cream NOT sticking to the glass, even though I waited one hour not 15 minutes like you said?
i want to try etching a glass and i have a svg file and its of a couple, do i need to group them or attach them so that they cut as one rather than small individual cuts ?? Your video is fab and makes it looks so easy, fingers crossed it is as easy !
I will do some etching for a door glass for my son's school. I'm not sure if this will work on any glass. Thanks.
Why do you use the transfer tape if only to take it off and leave the vinyl.
Love this video but I may just order reusable vynil stencils. I've never tried it before. Just got my cream today. I'm really excited to try it. Any ideas for a baby shower?
Hi, can I use any fonts for this? Or they have to be the stencil fonts that have bridges? Thank you.
I have used Armour Etching Cream before with wonderful results. But I tried to use it on 3 pie plates today and none of them would etched. ???
if i leave it on for 30 or 45 minutes does it etch deeper? i would try it myself but i am trying to evaluate this before i buy some. thanks for the great tutorial!
If you want the etching to be more prominent can you leave it on longer
what did you use to remove the vinyl so not to scratch the glass
Can you etch tempered glass without having any damage to the temper? I have a piece of 3/16 tempered glass on a firewood passthrough door and would like to etch the entire piece of glass?
Are you able to attain a deeper etch if you clean of the first layer after the 15min and add a second layer?
I've bought 2 different bottles and they both have chunks in them. Is that normal??? It's very frustrating because they get in the way and it messes up the etching.
Can it be used in stainless steel mugs? Or regular glass coffe mugs?
Wow :) great video. I have tried, and failed. I notice that I was using the the wrong thing to apply the cream. Also, the cream I am using looks very different than yours. I think mine is way too thick. maybe it's old. I'll try the Armour.
So we can use any vinyl? Thank you
Hi does it matter what the template is made from as long as its plastic and sticky,? And the glass does it matter if its safety glass??
Can you do this on a window pane 16”x16” for privacy and make your own pattern? Does it have to be a stencil or can you just tape on the pattern, a reverse idea to what you have shown?
Can etching cream go bad? I bought an old kit and it looks very grainy.
Can you use a brush to apply? How long do you leave the product on for? The longer you leave you does it get more frosty? Thanks Sneh
Can I etch a car window? And if so, inside or outside is the better choice?
My etching didn't take. On the bottle it says 1 to 3 minutes should i try the 15 minutes you did here?
What size design do you recommend for a wineglass? I'm about to try this and don't want to have something too large to control.
I etch hurricane lantern glass to frost out the flame. Much less harse glow. PS, your a cutie
Can you remove etch cream if you mess up ?
Does this product comes in other colors or just that one?
I want to etch a poem on a glass frame. Can I use my Cricut stencil vinyl? And do you just use the basic cut function?
What's better to use permanent vinyl or removable vinyl?
what about clean up? Can you reuse your brushes? How do you clean them?
I’m new to Etching also and I ordered a stencil off of Etsy. It’s just a piece of plastic with the words cut out! There’s not sticky backing! Help how do I get this to stay on my glass jar?
Have never etched but am ready to start. Not sure that i understand what you get to start. Is it just a stencil or a decal. Where do i purchase the transfer paper or decal. I need help. Thank you
I wish this video would also show how to do this without using the Cricut, maybe stick on letters. 😢
Not sure if it's the cream im using 😕 but i waited 10 min and it didn't work nothing was on my beer glass
Can you remove excess after it's done? I left it too long and it dripped onto the glass where I didn't want it. 😔
Can you mix color with the cream?
Can etching be removed from glass
How do you make it colored like that?
Hi im a newbie to this how would I etch out like a football logo
I want to try this etching cream but I’m pregnant so I don’t want to take any risks with the chemicals. I know you can use spray paint but I’m not sure it Will give me the same result
Can you use Denatured alcohol to clean the glass?
Great video. Couple questions does the etching cream come in different colors and if not how do you get your words to be etched in different colors?

Do you know why my mug isn’t etching? I’m using this armour etch
