I mean, anyone would agree with that. However, there’s a lot of people that are pushing this narrative that there are tons of pornography in elementary schools. And there just isn’t. But if you wanna censor books, let’s start with the Bible being schools. That has some pretty graphic things in it. Btw, I’m against censoring books. I believe that books in schools should be age appropriate as well. But the book bans have gotten completely out of hand. And I’ve noticed the same people that support book bans, also have a meltdown when the Bible is banned as well from a school.

As someone in their late 40s who grew up in the 90s, it's SO odd to see how things have completely shifted... in the 90s NOBODY wanted to be labeled. That was the whole "thing" then, avoiding labels... now , like you said, it's all about putting labels on themselves. I really think social media is the thing that is transforming people into these sociopathic egomaniacs. And the briefer and less meaningful the engagement on said media platforms (think of how one engages on TikTok vs say Facebook), the more it drives people into needing to shout their identity from the rooftops, probably because they feel like they are being swallowed up and disappearing in the vast sea of other people being visible. Back in the 90s, it was just your immediate social group that you had to worry about fitting into or standing out in, not the WHOLE WORLD. It's literally breaking peoples' brains. It was too big and too fast of a paradigm shift for us to handle.

Lol the girl at school that made me feel worthless and wasn't a true friend thought she was hot stuff with the "feminine energy" and becoming "more selfish" thing too. She'd get hit on by handsome dudes all the time and that made me feel so jealous of her, and she also had a ton of friends and I didn't, she pretended to be my friend, but she really wasn't. I later realised that even if she might've been getting the good stuff on middle school, I wasn't acting as selfish as she was. I admit I kinda hated being dragged off to church as a kid, but now I certainly appreciate that I was exposed to all that. The socialization, the getting up, the dressing up, the discipline of sitting on that bench silently for so long (itchy, hot, miserable, lol), and of course the crucial moral lessons. I'll say it very plainly: Even if the stuff in the bible never happened, what church infuses into a society is still a MAJOR net positive for its smooth, cohesive, and pleasant function. And the music!!! Builds the brain, the soul (care for others), the spirit (love of what's beautiful). I tell you one of the craziest things i have heard or read and i think it was maybe on KZread , was where a woman was bragging about giving a man STD or men , why would someone be bragging about something like that , we are in some insane times .

Mate of mine had a girlfriend who acted like this 20 years ago... I remember her 'making an entrance' at a wedding, sashaying in in this ridiculous catsuit. I burst out laughing, which *did not* go down well. She acted like she was some exotic witch queen, when in fact she was a single mother in a small town.

I’ve come to find that men and people in general just prefer someone who is kind and humble. The “act like you’re all that” vibe may turn heads or get you in bed, but that’s where it ends. Same with the “alpha male” stuff. It isn’t a lasting relationship worthy way of operating. Nobody wants to marry a narcissist

Being an alpha is easy, the hard part is being an alpha that people respect and follow. Many women and men drive the idea they want to be an alpha but most do it toxicly. To be a true alpha one must build themselves from the inside out. 1st identify your own weaknesses and flaws and develop a plan to overcome them. 2nd look to those in your life that make a meaningful good impact on you and learn from them. 3rd follow a good leader, learning to follow their lead and what makes them a good leader will empower you when you become a leader also learn what makes bad leaders and avoid those mistakes. 4th self reflect on the first 3 tasks of becoming an alpha and how you have brought those things into your personality. 5th let it flow naturally, don't force it and don't expect it to happen quickly. As you become the alpha you desire to be, make sure to be humble and respectful to those you lead and those you influence. The greatest leaders and alphas inspire others through their actions and continuous improvement of themselves and watch for snares and traps like short cuts and pride that can lead to a fall. Recognize that this above is just a personal opinioned guideline... life is complicated and there is no perfect pathway through life.

I’ve never understood why young men use Thomas Shelby (Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders) as an idol to aspire to be like. Yes his character has many good qualities. He dresses well, commands respect, is intelligent, etc.. However the entire purpose of his character revolves around his flaws. Yes, he is independent, but I would argue that he is overly so. He’s unwilling to trust those around him, unwilling to let people get close to him (including his own family), unwilling to show emotion (which I think many confuse as stoicism). All these traits repel those around him who would otherwise be close, leaving him depressed and lonely. The show does a great job showing how and why he has become this way; from the trauma inflicted on him and his brothers serving as tunnelers in the Great War to the lose of his fiancé, wife and brother and many more. He is an excellent character for entertaining film, but never a man I would strive to be. P.S. don’t even get me started on Patrick Bateman (American Psycho)

I agree. He's a great complex character who has a light and dark side, but he is a deeply flawed man who does eventually grow into someone believing he can do some good, but he's alone, and tormented. The way he got manipulatd in the last season was brilliant though.
