Tesla has a new feature where it will make the same sound from the speakers and car vibrates as well.

I’d love launch control but have a manual s5 - no regrets though, the feeling of a perfect launch in manual is so satisfying

My last out he was a 1993 Audi S4 with a big turbo, in let me just tell you it was fast the car! I got two days ago is a 2015 Audi S Q5… Which I haven’t even tried this in yet but I will be happy to give it a whirl tomorrow🤷🏼‍♂️

I am so glad I bought one of these. It never gets old driving a S5. Never.

Friend of mine had the V10 S6 and loved it. May come with some extra maintenance but they can last a good while if they're taken care of! Best of luck

That was pretty quick, if I might say.. I have a 08 audi a8l quattro 4.2l v8, but I don't think it's equipped with a LANCH CONTROL SYSTEM... but do see an S on my gear shifter

Hey man, late to the party. 2013 S5, just got the ESP switch replaced to try this. Followed the steps, no dice. Dash only displays M1 after switching to Dynamic+Sport Mode+ESP Sport. Not sure what I’m missing Edit. You need to toggle sport mode with the shifter by pulling down while in Drive

I just realized I've never tried LC on my 2018 S5 Sportback. My 2016 A3 didn't have it, so I just assumed the S5 didn't either. Went out and tried it. Seems a bit quicker, but the opportunities and space to use it in my area are very limited.

I haven't actually launched it, but I also have a 2016 A3, and it works. You have to put the traction into sport, and the transmission into sport and manual. It held at 3K RPM just like in this video. I am yet to actually go though.

My son just bought an a4 s line v6 quattro 2009. Really nice even of it has high milage

I just bought an audi 2013 s5 that was babied it has a hundred thousand miles on it n before that I been driving an 2017 maserati sq4 and that car is a beast but there are things such as corning is not as nice as the s5 but the launch is insane ...Love the s5

So does this work with A5 since we have the sport mode too?

i did some 0-60s on my car before tune, stage 1, and stage 2 tune on my channel! i definitely need to try using dragy or something to really get an accurate number. I'm now catless so i'm sure i can go sub 4's. Definitely feels like it haha

Yes it still works. In this vid he is brake boosting. Not using “launch control” just turn traction off and put her in sport and let er rip

Does it work on a basic A4 B9 ?

I have 2009 A4 B8 S-Line 3.0 TDi Quattro. Lowered on Bilsteins, with a stage 1 map. Oh - it's a 6-speed manual, btw. I fucking love my car :) PS: Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S on all corners too. WooHoo!

The 3.0T in the S5 has great power potential with a simple ECU tune. I'd recommend it 100%!

If you have the money skip the S5 and go straight to the RS5. I'm a B8.5 A4 driver, it has a few problems so I'm selling it and as soon as it sells I'm going for the B8.5 RS5

For those with a ZF trans with a torque converter. 1. Engine warmed up. Engine oil, not just coolant. 2. Transmission warmed up because if the car doesn't have a warm transmission, AMAX will not be engaged. 3. Sport/Dynamic mode. 4. Traction Control off 5. Wheels straight. 6. Press brake hard. 7. Release the brake after the RPMs stop rising. If you have no aftermarket transmission tune on a torque converter transmission or it isn't an RS6/7, your car doesn't want you to press the gas and brake at the same time. This is why you can't hold it too long or the car will cut power. AMAX is a higher torque shift which will occur on the 1-2 and the 2-3. You only have so may AMAX launches on a torque converter car OR it is the SAME on a DSG car. Once you have exceeded the number of AMAX launches or DSG launches, the transmission won't do it EVER again. Transmission tunes do not eliminate the counter, but they can increase it to something like 20 000. Edit. BTW, When I was at the track, the only VAG guys that knew how to launch their car was a Golf R and an Audi S3. Everybody else sucked. My A6 squatted, launched hard, and automatically banged off shifts at 7250 in manual mode as it disappeared into the night. Didn't get a chance to teach these guys but their 1/4 mile times were all over the place and slower than they should be.

Do you press the gas between step 6 and 7 to raise the rpm’s?

I turn off auto engine stop start and traction control fully off by holding it and Sport dynamic mode and launch works well

You forgot a couple of things I think...Oil temp needs to be above 90, steering wheel straight...?

I'm guessing this works the same in my 2011 (B8) Audi RS5?

You need the ports diff to do launch control. Anything else without the sports did isn’t doing shit.
