2012 A6 (C7) here. Left hand side of steering wheel, press the left/right arrow and that kills the key/door open tone. Playing with the green screen is cool, I recommend making one change at a time and take a photo of screen prior to changing for easy reversal. Nice content man.

I bought a 2017 A5 Cabriolet brand new and the dealer never told me there was no in-cab trunk release switch lol. I scoured the entire car and the owner's manual trying to find it, and finally the dealer told me the convertible doesn't have one haha.

Nice demo but one extra bit of info, on 3G high systems (HNAV firmware) the green menu can only be accessed by activating a script on an sd card or through VCDS/VagCom. Using the button combo alone won't work. They are one time use only and need reactivating each time you want into that menu. Not sure about any of the other versions of MMI, but I know for sure that my 2010 B8 S4 with the 3G High MMI needs preactivating before I can access it.

@@customcars5628 Wonder if it's a euro/uk thing! Definitely needs the script preactivated before I can access mine, popped out an hour ago to double check. Even with the script it can take about 4 attempts to get it going. I find hitting setup first a fraction of a second before hitting car loads it better

Best thing about the Green Menu is being able to set the run timers on different electronics to save the battery/components. Having your lights turn off quicker when you leave your car helps. The hard drive is set to run almost a half hour after you leave the car! The last thing I want is that burning out so I set it to 5 min's, plenty of settings you can adjust like this. Use common sense when adjusting settings in this menu as you can mess stuff up. The time changes I made lowering almost everything to 5 minutes or less has helped a lot and has caused no problems over 5 years of ownership. If anything everything should last longer as its not constantly running for a half hour after I leave my car.

If you reflash your tune your parking break malfunction should fix, it fixed mine that started malfunctioning after android head unit install.

Hi there! Amazing video! I also have an audi a4 b8 and I would like to adjust the scroll speed of the steering wheel scroll buttons, I think the left one is too slow. Whenever I want to change fm station or a song from the sd card, I have to scroll twice instead of only once. Any solutions?

When I put the MMI Drive on my 2012 Audi S5 and press the two buttons, it won’t pull up the green screen. Do you have to program the green screen into the mmi?

My b8.5 s4 has the Adaptive damping suspension (not air just dampers) I want to install some BC coil overs but if I do I will get a warning light for a suspension fault since the coils would not have the module to plug in. Can I turn off Adaptive suspension damping through this to trick the car into thinking it just has the base suspension to prevent the fault code>?

Yes you can and b12 or bc pro kit should work by turning it off you won’t get the light , it’s like a fog light you won’t get the code unless you turn it on💪💪💪

Hi nice screen would like one in my A5 whereabouts is it from mate?

The battery you mentioned brings up a battery level bar in your setup screen. It’s pretty useless mind as generally shows 100% all the time. Also don’t even click “boot loader” in the green menu. It wipes the software off your mmi ready for a reinstall. I did this and had to goto an Audi specialist to have them install the mmi again and then painstakingly reconfigure all the options fitted to the car.

He pointed me here to get a script upgrademyaudi.net/tutorials/enabling-audi-mmi-hidden-green-menu-with-script-and-vcds/. Goes on an SD card and it runs automatically and allows access to the green screen. Would definitely like to know how you customized your interface though!

For getting in green menu not all audi can get turned on that simple. There are some steps to make it work with vcds.
