For those who are wondering. This will only work with all your doors closed. And the car must be restarted within 10 seconds of taking your key out of the ignition system. Otherwise it won't work.

Thanks mate! It's easy to put hate on me but this video is actually helpful to everyone who owns BMW. You can really make things out of it. Leaving your car running and being able to lock it at same time is very useful in some countries, especially in Bosnia where they steal 20-30 BMW's per month.

Most people don't understand why you would need this. The point is you can start your car in the morning, then close the door and lock the car again from the outside with the keyfob. The engine will continue to run and warm up the car whilst you go back inside your home. The car can not be driven away, because it is locked. Also in hot weather you can have the air-con running whilst the car is still locked.

*Quick Tip:* _All doors must be shut before restarting the car with the key fob out._ *Warning:* _Never do this on a regular basis. Starting and stopping your engine can cause excessive wear on your spark plugs and ignition system._ On some cars, you can insert your key fob, turn the ignition on without starting the car, turn the ignition off, take the key fob out, then start the car. All without actually turning on the car.

U should be able to start the car without inserting the key to begin with as that is a waste of time. The key does not have to be inserted only in range to be detected to start. The advantage of inserting the key is so there is a place for it and it wont get lost. This video is pointless.
