The developer must have created their app to be compatible with Roku TV, otherwise you might have to use the Firestick or Android TV and sideload or download from the respective app stores. Also if you have an lg or Samsung, that app is available on the respective smart TV app stores.

password prompt doesn't show up. it goes to the roku home screen. wish somebody knew how to do this right. 5 videos that didn't work

This video is worthless until you show us an example of how to install the app.

I think it means the app isn't compatible. Possibility
