I believe that stitch is called Satin stitch so you could search for a tutorial video on that, but you've most likely discovered that on your own by now! Best regards.

I’m doing two good size cross stitch marriage date and name things. My very first time cross stitching and many decades since I tried embroidery a little when I was very young. I’m going to use the stem stitch fir their names and date to make it look a little better so I’m combining both crafts lol

You will need to use some kind of stabilizer on the back of the fabric, especially if it is stretchy. I haven't experimented a lot with clothes yet, so I don't have a brand to recommend.

.....One more QUESTION: on the downward stroke of the letter L , the direction of the middle thread is changed again, back to the left.... However she repeats saying, pull stitch to the same side. She pulls to the left side when the stroke of the letter is going down and to the right when going up. Correct? Incorrect? I’m confused by the verbiage.

Yes, I would probably iron an interfacing on the back of your stitches when you are done. I'm still experimenting to find one that I like.

The video seems to cut out right at the exact time when I questions the direction of the pull direction. Is there someone who can help with an explanation/example of direction the thread is pulled? If I try to keep it on the same direction of pull, my top loops on letters collapses, so to speak, and become wide. If I change the direction of pull, at the top of the letter the middle stitch holds the stitch in place making the curve..... I’m 🤷‍♂️ confused.
