It's a hitch knot, give or take! Like when you hitch a horse to a post. I use that knot for everything. Great video!

What a cute idea! I get those little hats from Amazon a lot and now I can jazz them up and make them unique to suit me. Thanks! Also, I wanted to say that I recently started doing embroidery and I love your channel! Your tutorials are great and I’m learning a lot of good tips. :)

This was so helpful! I’m looking to embroider a couple hats for nieces and nephew - where do you get your baseball caps from?

Do you use anything particular to seal the back so the strings are hidden? I'm new at this and the only easy things I've found or thought of is denim patches. :/ lol

I normally don't put anything on the back! As long as you are knotting everything securely it should be fine. However, I have heard of some kinds of iron on stabilizer you can put on the back to seal the stitches but personally haven't used them!

You could use water soluble fabric markers or heat erasable pens!
