I haven’t bothered with macros since I started using Companion, but it’s a good skill for any Atem Mini user to have. Great tutorial!

There are still things you can't do solely with Companion, though.

Got it, check and uncheck all the unused thingz. 👍. And surprise, surprise everything old is new again. Yes, we are editing the XML file y'all, like it was 2021. 😸

Great video, as always. This helped me figure out how I'm going to use macros with mixeffects to single companion button click to change the input on a supersource preset.

Thanks Aaron for your informative content. I watch your live streams and try to learn from them. I have been using a shoot, then edit. then upload type of operation for years. I am transitioning to a studio environment. I bought a Lumix g7 to use as my main studio camera. I have went back and looked at your livestreams when you were using a Lumix g7. It was very acceptable to me. Would you consider sharing your settings you use with the Lumix g7 to livestream. Either a video or just post them on your web site in a text form. I need to be able to set my exposure and focus and lock it down so it don't change in the middle of a stream. I know this is long but thanks for your consideration.

Thanks for this. I just started working with the Extreme ISO and really like the 6 macro buttons on the switcher. We use them for stock shots in our worship. However, I noted that the buttons do not light up when you select the macro button. I wrote to Tech Support at BMD and got this reply, "As for the Macro Buttons, the they will only illuminate when running the macro, so if it is just a quick switch it will not illuminate for very long, if you add pauses between the selections, the button will illuminate for the duration of the macro." I have tried putting in a pause at the beginning and end of the macros but I still don't see the buttons light up. Do you have any suggestions?

Q: Is it possible to have a 2 box supersource in the program view AND a 4 box supersource in the preview and smoothly transition between them? Thank you for all you do, truly helpful! I have the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO model

Unfortunately not, there is only one SuperSource generator in the Extreme so it can do only one thing at a time. However you might be able to get close by using 2 of the upstream keys for your 2-box layout. It'll be tricky to get it to work but it should be possible.

I don’t have a ATEM extremefirst version of your but a ATEM Pro ISO. I brought the 3D stand ATEM. Not the stand for the ATEM extreme I had the contact information for your 3 D ATEM 3 D stand. I told your 3D ATEM stand . They needed to crazy glue the nots which Keep the triangle together which holds the 3 horizontal bars to create the 3D ATEM stand. I told them this until is great as the triangle & the 3 horizontal bars. These 2 triangle & 3 cross bars is great to travel with. If you could set it together easily. Yet I haven’t been able to the information for your 3D manufacture?

I'm not entirely sure what your question is, it seems to have come through in fragments. But you can find all the info about the stands at pk1.tv and that links to shop.inux3d.com which is the manufacturer

Helpful….but no discussion about programming or using the 6 macro buttons on the switcher.

Hello Aaron, in my case nothing happens when I re-import the modified macros (just change the description) nothing happens! would you know why?

If the description changes it sounds like it's working. It will look like nothing happens when you import the macros other than the description changing. You should be able to run the new macros after they are imported.

​@@aaronpk I found it! in fact, as it created an automatic backup, it reloaded the last backup despite my designating a file for it. So now I modify the last automatic backup and delete all the others, then I relaunch the atem software an that work, but it's surprising that you can't reload the file you want. Than you for your reply time.
