Cows and other ruminating animals are part of the natural cycle. Methane from cows is released and absorbed back into the environment helping plants grow. The real threat to the environment comes from growing crops which destroy natural habitats and result in the deaths of many smaller animals during harvesting. Bees and insects are also killed by all the pesticides that are sprayed on the crops.
