I used a wide J-hook style trim tool which worked amazingly well…very little effort was needed.

I removed mine as soon as I got the delivery. Looks miles better without those covers. I'm hoping some vendors come out with cool insert to replace smaller aero covers.

do you notice that there is lots of brake dust after the covers are removed? is that because the brakes are new or that normal?

Depending on how one drives, brakes should be rarely used due to regen. Maybe he is braking hard?

It is a good idea to use the brakes as much as possible when you get the car for at least a thousand miles. The brakes are very “spongy” at the beginning and it is terrifying when you trying to hard brake at high speed. They need broken in.

Agreed, the wheel looks better without the big covers but the small covers still annoy me. IMO, the wheels on the older M3 RWD were some of the nicest wheels on a Tesla and they were fully intact under the goofy aero covers.

@@samislam5946 Hi Sam, start with one of the aero caps on top… use the tool to pop off the top right of the cap, then pop off the top left section. Once both sections are popped off you will need a good grip and then you need to firmly pull. It will pop out. Once you do one of them you will get the hang of it. Agree. The stock rotors aren’t much to show off and are too small, especially the rear one’s. I prefer them on and they improve efficiency.
