Thanks. Been using your videos for awhile now to get my PS2 and Wii homebrewed. And figured it was time for my PS3 as well...as OPL on PS2 doesn't play certain PS1 games very well and so far the PS3 does. This works great...though for anyone reading this now, more up to date versions of Multiman will kick you back to the XMB when you select your PS1 game, don't fret like I did thinking something was wrong...the XMB will now show a PS1 game disc is inserted, just select that and the game will run fine.

If all you have are .BIN files then here what you should do. Follow the same folder structure but, 1. Use WinISO to convert .BIN files .ISO 2. Then you need to DISABLE Cobra, Network>Custom Firmware Tools>Cobra Tools>Disable Cobra (it's at the bottom) After I did that I was able to boot converted .BIN files, now .ISO's, and run PSX games BUT I've read (haven't check myself yet) if you want to run PS2 game you need to re-ENABLE Cobra, otherwise the PS2 games won't boot. FYI I am running EvilNat 4.88

I just installed Evilnat 4.88. I have Multiman and Webman. I'm trying to get a grasp on the best method for all of this. First I was using a FAT32 external and I copied 2 PS2 ISO files to the internal via multiman and they worked. The PS3 game was in folder format and also loaded no problem. I now formatted that external drive to NTFS. I made the folders for each type of ISO (PS2ISO, PS3ISO and so on.) I used Prep ISo and the NTFS drive showed up in Webman under the correct folders. The PS3 game that I converted to ISO worked. The PS2 and PS1 games show up, mount but then I get maybe the title menu and then just a black screen. What am I doing wrong?

I'd like to add that the usb drive (external) need to be plugged in on the right usb port of the ps3 and not the left. Not sure if this is just my console but nothing shows up when I plug in any hdd on the left usb port. Thanks for the tutorial.

What's strange is the PSXGAMES folder. If I put game folders that have .bin and .cue files in the PSXGAMES folder they show up in Multiman if I press Square on the controller to only sort PSX games but if I use the browse USB Device option and select the PLAYSTATION (PSOne) option it tells me there are no PSXPS2/ROM images.

Ok now.....What if I wanted to to copy the ps1 game over to the ps3 hdd in multiman. Do I take both bin and cue files, create a whole img iso file and place it inside the ps1 iso foler on the ps3 or how would that work? Oh and plus the cover art.

I have a single disc game CT Special Forces and have a hen ps3... My problem is that my game has many bin files like it says ct special forces (track 1).bin and there is track 2 and many more and has only 1 cue.... My question is that will this above method still work for me i have HEN console with Multiman please guide me... Thank u

Just a heads-up, for when the app just kicks you to the home screen: When that happens, there should be an option above the Multiman icon, that claims that there's either a "PlayStation Format Disc", or something similar for PS2 games. The "Format Disc" option is the game, and you can click on it, to open the game. It's a bit weird, but that's what happened with my PS3. Just wanted to put this out there.

Using PS3 Net Server, I am able to load the folder (PSXGAMES) but it only works with the files directly in it. I can not separate and organize the games in there individual file folders. Any suggestions, I prefer to keep some games in folders due to them having a large amount of (track) files. which just inflates the PS3 XMB list.

To be honest you dont need that if you have ps1 games just play the disc but i recommend this if you want to play games you can no longer get

Multiman seems to just crash whenever I pick the game to play. Any idea whats causing this? It's a simple .BIN and .CUE of Spyro.

Oddly running the ps3 through an OLDER TV (like a CRT) will result in a nicer but "muddier" image. The crt does a lot of work to make the visuals better as the intended viewing

How do you change discs when you've completed one? I've had to go into file manager on multiman and rename the save file to the one for next disc but its a pain in the arse. must be a simpler way.

so is multiman essentially an optical drive emulator, telling your PS3 that there's a ps1 disc running, and then the PS3 runs its default PS1 emulator or is multiman running a different, 3rd party emulator?

Go to rename on pc and go to .bin and only erase bin and put in capital ISO

Or install the NTFS mod on your PS3 and then format your HDD/USB stick in NTFS, it'll remove the 4GB per file limit ;)

Blueray drive is also the dvd drive, so if ur blueray isnt working, its got a corrupt file. Do a system restore and it will probably fix, i know this is 7years old but I'm willing to bet u still have the system

Ok so your my first port of call oh master of mods. So followed your vid. Cfw a ps3 slim, used imgburn to rip, usb a ps1 game, used multiman, copied the bin/cue to psxiso, tried to run the game and its jerky or not running at all..........BUT! did another ps3 slim exactly as above same files everything is an exact clone of the first and they play fine! Wtf??? First is my dads 2nd is mine. Can I F figure out the issue HELP!!!!! PLS HELP!!!!

I followed all of your instructions and the game works, however the .CUE files are still showing (I see 4 files as it's a 2 disk game) and the cover art does not get integrated as shown on your video even though the size is under the max cover art size. Any idea what I may have done wrong? Edit: got the cover art to work, but is it normal that the .CUE files are still showing.

Everybody explains how to mount the image but nobody knows how to put the game on PS3 permanently. The way it would be if I bought a ps1 game from the ps network store. I just want my games to show up on the games list like they do when I buy a digtal game from the PSN store.
