Hi LeAnn! Yes, that’s on my next canning list to do, just waiting on a good sale. I agree with you, hot packing your chicken is prettier in the jars and less mess on the end when you have to wash your jars. Scrubbing the jars after cold packing them is extra work to me.Hope you all are doing great. Have a blessed day my friend!!

Hi LeeAnn, I've hadn't noticed anyone else saying to prop the lid & wait, to help with the cooling off process. I bought a Presto pressure canner, but haven't used it yet. I have water bathed, but never pressure canned - which might explain why so much of my mom's stuff had to be tossed, especially her green beans. Have a great day.

I’m a new canner at 67! Retired and have more time. I have subscribed to your channel and want to thank you for the education 😊. I was especially happy to hear your on cooked vs raw pack. I’m using a Nesco electric canner since there’s only 2 of us. I really enjoy doing the small batches. Again, thank you so much and blessings to you and yours.

I’m so happy to see that you didn’t try to push Chinese manufactured lids. People need to understand, just because the company is based in the US, that does not mean their products are manufactured in the US. If the company doesn’t boast that their products are Made in the USA 🇺🇸…they’re NOT. Great detailed video…thank you! 💕

Oh that’s not going to happen on this channel… I’m USA proud! I would endorse Superb lids first that manufactured by Walnut Creek who are Mennonite. I have used at least 12 dozen of those lids this past year.

That idea of placing a cooking sheet under the cutting board is AWESOME! I usually lay a kitchen towel under but then you have that towel to wash cause you don’t want to use it and risk spreading those yucky germs. Looking forward to pressure canning my first meats. Great video, thank you for sharing.
