It was a huge milestone for us to cross into Central America. Now in Ecuador we look back on that as our first major milestone on the global journey. ~ Eric

Of course! We have some friends that came in behind us that had a much "different" story that would have made for better video but sadly, their crossing was not as "smooth". Having said that, they got through and are enjoying Belize now. We just saw them today. ~ Eric

Loved it when you led your son in prayer, good job dad! Also gotta say, I loved Belize, flew into Cancun ,rented a car and drove down. We are now planning a trip with my wife, our 2 dogs ( chocolate lab and a small healer) and our friend and her dog ( a bit bigger than our lab). I am building out a medium duty truck that has an 18’ cargo box on the back. I am working out the details on a crawl through from the cab because it is a cab over style truck that tilts. It will be a simple build nothing fancy like I would like but we really want to make the trip ASAP . We would be leaving from British Columbia and heading down the west coast then across, we might go down the Baja, have not decided that yet. Take care and safe journeys!

I know you've been busy! It's been really nice to see a slice of your life on our Marco Polo too. We miss Mexico already, but we are enjoying Belize and it is markedly different. We are trying to soak in what we can here before heading into Guatemala. If all goes well, we will have at least one more video from Belize. Our time here is short! ~ Eric

Appreciate the time you spent to be detailed in your video! I did have a couple questions because I thought any vehicle going into Belize had to pay the customs fee(70/80% of KBB value)? Was that not so? Did I hear there's a temporary import fee or something? I wasn't sure about all of that and I am looking to move to Belize at the end of this year so trying to get all the info I can. Much appreciation and God Bless!

God bless Paul. Welcome to our channel. So we only got a temporary import permit because we aren't staying. I can't really advise you on your questions. But there is a group on Facebook called ON THE ROAD IN BELIZE that I'm sure could answer that question for you. ~ Eric

How much was the vehicle insurance in Belize? Planning on travelling from Mex to Bze but with a rental car from Mexico approved to travel to Bze.

Talking about vaccination requirements for the border crossing is essential since it is part of the process for crossing the border. There are requirements by the Belizean government. How would you propose that we “leave that out” when trying to helpfully inform folks on how to cross the border? I don’t mean this as argumentative, just as informational. Hope that clarifies. ~ Eric

@@ITsLifePOSITIVE You do not need a vaccination for Belize as of March 1st. However, if you are not vaccinated the Belizean government requires you to have a COVID test with negative results that they administer at their border and you have to await the results before being allowed access into their country. Every country has their own regulations and we are finding that those regulations are constantly changing. Hope that is helpful. ~ Eric

@@HourlessLife makes sense, definitely after 3 years still very fluid situation.. a few friends of mine who travel for KZread ended up getting the vaccine in the way beginning on the grounds of they wanted to continue to travel so I understand
